We’ll looka here, Trump is against TPP even though it’s all water under the bridge because even if Trump does get to be pres TPP will have been in full swing and there’s no way Trump as president would get rid of it despite all his rhetoric.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, GOP presidential candidate and billionaire businessman Donald Trump slammed President Obama’s trade agreements – especially the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) – which Obama argued the United States needs in order to better compete with China.

Trump said the TPP would be a terrible agreement for jobs in this country, and that America is already losing a fortune to China – adding that it is hard to believe it’s going to get worse.

Whatever Trump is he’s way ahead of the other GOP idiots who are nothing but puppets and ass hind kissers of the rich

I don't buy the "distraction" premise. American People generally don't give a damn, most I know say "What can I do"? They just don't give a sh•t.

I also must say that Guy Fawkes mask looks pretty stupid. This isn't a Movie.

Most americans only start to give a damn about things they repeatedly get shown on TV over and over. No matter whether they give a damn or not, eventually they will.

It is how trends and public issues and opinions or pushed and steered.

Free trade is not a bad thing. Stop overreacting.

Remember that when your job is outsourced to asia and there are none to be found here. It happened to a company I used to work for many years ago last year, over a hundred people lost their jobs as they were sent to Singapore and Vietnam.Good middle class jobs with benefits. Now my current employer is also doing it and we have lost 80 percent of our work to overseas suppliers, and I am sure at some point we will be out in the street too, with few or no prospects for finding another job because ALL the companies are doing this. And all for GREED, because we cant compete with slavery. What kind of a future do we or our children have if there are no jobs? How can a society operate with so much for so few and so little for the rest? Between automation and outsourcing, before long Americans will be fleeing to Mexico instead of the other way around. We are no on the fast track to becoming a third world country, and it seems some of us are cheering it on. Yeah, free trade is good as long as it doesn't affect you personally. Everyone who railed against NAFTA was "overreacting" too, right?

Didn't they do a similar thing during WWII? I forget what it was called.

Well, luckily the fourth blood moon comes in 2 days. According to the strange dreams people have been having here the East Coast will be underwater by then. Lucky me, I live in Florida. Peace out America, if I can still call you that.

It is indeed futile to resist the things they're doing. Look at our past and even our present; Ferguson or the Vietnam protests. If we rise up and unite they will divide and conquer. We are already prisoners of their madness, just pray that you die before their regime takes full control.

So it looks like the OP misunderstood the article's reference and put out some fear porn too early.

That Anonymous article is from June and it was just in regards to a Congressional vote for the fast-tracking of any trade deals (aka the TPA) - allowing the TPP to now go thru the Senate + House for an up-or-down vote. It was NOT a vote to pass the TPP in any means. All it means is they were tired of being harassed by this huge, complicated trade deal (after opposing it for months already btw) so now issued the ability for themselves to give it ONLY a "yes" or "no" vote without having to nitpick it or vote on any specifics.

TPP is still not in effect. Latest news:
thediplomat.com...
And other nations still have to agree to sign up to it even if we do, otherwise it's a no go. People in Australia and NZ are going bat# crazy against it, so I don't think it's going to get thru anyway.

Unfortunately even that possibility has been removed.

Nothing in the UNIVERSE can even destroy itself anymore.

The exact opposite of what everyone believes,

Well, Bernie did vote to fast track it, but I read the comment above mine and saw that it hasn't exactly been activated yet but was only fast tracked so that they could vote on it "yes" or "no".

Maybe Bernie fast tracked it for that reason, maybe not. I decided to edit my post because of that reason.

There is a difference between indifference and despair. Most people I know are just tired. They've been fighting, for so long, and it made no difference. People were pepper sprayed. People were assaulted. People were killed. All because they the temerity to protest one injustice or another. Not indifference. Realism, and despair.

Seems like it. He's my favorite candidate by far. I was ready to throw him to the curb before I saw the "nay" signature though. Glad you pointed that out to me. I should be more observant.

I don't understand your excitement.

What they voted on was just the fast-track (TPA ) which just allows them to either accept all of the TPP or none of the TPP. This will save them from having to read and vote on every single clause in the thousands that will come up.

So basically nobody has voted on, or against, the TPP itself yet. Most actually do oppose it and did this so they can shoot it down in one shot instead of going point by point.
