Russian President Vladimir Putin in a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador issued a verbal ultimatum calling for an immediate end to Turkey’s support for ISIS and violations of Syria’s sovereignty. In doing to, Putin has drawn a red line over Syria, after weeks of escalating NATO moves against that beleaguered nation.

“Tell your dictator Erdogan to go to hell and that unless he stops well established and easily proven support for ISIS, Russia will sever diplomatic relations. We are prepared to turn Syria into a big Stalingrad for Turkey and her Saudi allies and their vicious little gang of Hitlers.
Your little dictator is a hypocrite, attacking the military coup in Egypt while, at the same time, he is trying to overthrow the elected government of Syria. As it stands, China, Iran and Russia will guarantee the survival of Syria."

Ouch , this has reached to a whole new level. Looks like Putin is not going to give up on Assad . This was said after a claim by Erdogen that Putin was going to give up on Assad. But then again i think he was being polite, considering this is the person who parks warships on the coasts of countries who Criticize him..

I am trying to look for more links and sources on this, so far nothing yet

The language is wrong. No world leader is going to use that sort of language in diplomatic talks. It is very easy to make it seem so when you use a free style type of translators as some countries are prone to do.

It is just off. Smells bad.

The bit from 2014 is really old so I wonder why you included it. It does not add to the claims at all.

Putin Issues Ultimatum to Turkey - If you look at a map of the area you will see lots and lots of oil on the south side of the persian gulf and on the northern side of Syria is eastern and central europe on the other.

Just how would the US love to run a pipeline under the Persian gulf THROUGH SYRIA and into europe??

Think of how much they could undercut Russian oil sales to all of Europe? That would achieve 2 things for the US, 1 it would enable them slowly send Russia broke and realize the Wolfawitzs Doctrine. 2, it enable the US to force all of its European vassal states to keep using the US dollar as reserve currency and thereby preserve its own superpower status.

Might this explain how ISIS springs up out of nowhere and marches into Syria, and starts assisting the US sponsored forces to evict Assad from Syria. By evicting Assad out of Syria the US can install a its own administration who will then invite the US to build an oil pipeline into Europe.

see the plan??

Russia actions as reported by the OP are merely reflecting their actions to counter those of the US .... and whats wrong with that? Is there a rule that says they are not allowed to protect their own interests in the mid east??

Its possible... All the articles ive come across keep stating the info came from the Moscow Times. All I could find there was an incident with Lavrov and a comment he made.

Off-Guard Remark Lands Russia's Lavrov in Social Media Storm - Aug 2015

It was meant to be a news conference about solving the Syria crisis and combating Islamic State, but an unguarded remark into the microphone from Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov grabbed all the attention.

Even a former U.S. ambassador to Moscow joined the social media storm triggered after Lavrov let slip the less than diplomatic language on Tuesday as he and his Saudi counterpart Adel al-Jubeir met the press.

Taped footage showed Lavrov waiting as part of the conference is translated into Arabic, checking his mobile phone, making notes, adjusting glasses, briefly rubbing his forehead and then saying quietly in Russian: "#ing morons."

It was not clear who or what Lavrov was referring to and his spokeswoman, who was present, said she did not hear the minister swear and that his talks with Jubeir went well.

Click link for remainder of article (** The site automatically changed what Lavrov stated **).

This supposedly (Putins threat) occurred on August 5th 2015. I would think it its real msm would be reporting on it (not to mention Turkey).

This vid talks about some of what is going on in Turkey and what we might be able to expect .

Syria is once again the center of attention with Washington and Ankara agreeing on "ISIS-free zones" that each partner is interpreting in its own way. Joining us to explore those interpretations is Sibel Edmonds of BoilingFrogsPost.com, just back from the region with intel on a possible timeline for increased military action in the country. In this conversation James and Sibel discuss Turkey's battle against the Kurds and how the Kurdish population are being used by the US and Israel as pawns in a complex chess game. We also examine the recent bombing in Suruc and signs that it was a false flag provocation.

Just like the last time the west tried to topple Assad with false claims about the use of sarin gas.

Putin saved the day then too.

" calling for an immediate end to Turkey’s support for ISIS"

I haven't been paying much attention to resent events, but wasn't Turkey fighting against ISIS?

Turkey has been the main point for ISIS to enter Syria . Do have a listen to the vid I posted . It seems that Turkey is now going to go in to kill 2 birds with one stone . One the Kurds and the other Assad/Syria

Ok where ever this came from it has a lot of problem. One, its mentions the military coup in Egypt in 2013 as a current event, second it mentions Chinese support for Syria of which there been none and to be honest out side of selling them weapons Russia has nothing to support Assad either.

Also Assad controls less than 25% of Syria at this point and has been losing ground every day. Half of his once 300,000 man army has either been killed or changed sides. Nothing is going to save Assad beyond a peace deal to leave the country. And Russia is more that busy in Ukraine it has noting to offer Syria beyond words. And on top of that considering the Turkish Army is almost a large as Russia's own and they are in NATO, the Turks would hardly feel threatened by Russia.

Let us keep in mind Veterans Today used to have stories about the US and Chinese fighting aliens off the coast of California. However, let us just say this is a real quote. The reference to the military coup in Egypt means that it is at least two years old and that Russia as expected has done nothing.

It is very well documented that the recruiting of ISIS fighters from all over the world is being done through ISIS cells in Turkey, mainly close to Syria's border. A fact that Turkish government is very well aware off but doesn't do nothing. Is also known the stance of Erdogan and his cabinet on the west, war against terrorism and involvement of Turkey in the matter. I think the fact that this guys are in NATO saves the trouble. Otherwise with the current political attitude in Turkey, with the big support on the Islamic ideas and radicalism, Turkey would have been even more a big of a problem.

Russia loves continuing war in the Middle East.

It keeps their natural gas sales to Europe safe and sound.

This is silly. What, did they release the transcript of the scolding of an international diplomat?
Or is it just Veterans Today that has made up a story?

I know, what I find most likely..

Turkey should turn this around and demand they get out of Ukraine, and quit violating it's sovereignty.
