What's Going On with the Recent Posts Screen?

On the recent posts screen, there are 5 posts at present that actually occurred a long time ago.

How does that happen?

Doesn't appear yup be the case for me, but I'm browsing on mobile. I don't see those threads in the recent list. Weird, since they're all threads authored by TheBandit795.

Threads appear on the recent screen when they have recent additions to them. It isn't about recently made threads only, but recently replied to threads.



EDIT: My mistake there, they seem not to have been recently added to. Glitch?

I would guess some kind of super mod glitch as I say a similar thing a few weeks ago when a post was in recent but was acually a sticky from about 5 years ago and also by a mod.

Ow, my eyes. I forgot that some people view the site on its white background (putting on sunglasses). For me and most people here it's been "gray all the way" (or, to make up an oldie-but-goodie, "Once you go grey you have to stay").

The threads have a similar theme and the same author. That author is a super mod. I have noticed in the past threads that seem to have been ''bumped'' without a new post being added. IIRC, they were the community announcement type but they seem to have that ability.

ETA: I missed nonspecific's post with a similar gist.

Yes, but I'm very curious as to what brings about the glitch.

I enjoy learning about how things work, and I sincerely hope we're not told "it's just one of those things."

My guess: Someone (probably the mod who wrote them) "bumped" them. They have special powers.
