Anybody remember FTR?

Well it is that time again, and the ATS Ring Bearer is gonna do it again.

This moment is over three years in the making. This trip will be number 15. And it is time.

You might ask why now. Whats different. I will tell you I have something nobody else has. And that is a fact.

I have seen and identified the blaze.

I needed more time last time. Now I have what I need.

The Thrill of The Chase has become legendary folklore.

And I am ready to put my name into this tale in ink.

I have seen the blaze.

Well I am not saying where I am going.

But there is a Thrill of the chase thread already in this forum for details.

Or you could google it.

But I dont think it is necessary to tell his whole tale here repetitively. Sorry.

I hiked many times in the Pecos wilderness looking for that Gold with my metal detector but finally settled on putting our efforts on Spanish gold at Gran Quivira until the Forest rangers ran us off. The Fenn Gallery in Santa Fe was full of beautiful treasures....all for sale to the Rich Texans.

Okay I looked at your link to 22 pounds of gold, I have to say it sounds like complete BS. Where did you hear of this and how long have you been looking?

Some people do say that.

Over three years myself.

I have been in touch with Mr. Fenn on several occasion, and I personally believe him.

Forrest Fenn is a crook and a liar trying to sell his books. At least that's how I feel after 10 minutes of research.
And what a steal only 55 dollars for a book that he could probably only sell with the promise of riches.
If he was so generous with the gold, why sell the book and for a outrageous price? It makes no sense.

This post was rude and I am sorry but I will leave it up just so I don't look like a back peddler.

At least he'll be wearing something. I mean, can you imagine him running around the hills in the buff?

I can appreciate your opinion, but I wholeheartedly do not agree.

And your post borders on slander without fact. Maybe spend another 5 minutes researching. You may learn otherwise.

I'm beginning to think the Gold isn't in the Sangre de Cristos but in the Jemez.

I am not slandering his name, I said that's the way I feel about it. just another way to say in my opinion.
Why would he charge for the book if he was giving away 350,000 dollars in gold. Its a marketing technique to sell his book in my opinion.
I will research it some more and come back to this thread with my findings of the type of character this man has. Sorry for being rude, I didn't mean to, I just hate scammers and it seemed the case from the second I saw his web site.

You crack me up.

I have never purchased any books. Everything you need is available for free.

I get the feeling you are a bit jealous of him?

Or the armchair quarterbacking has got your panties in a bunch?

You just seem so venemous toward this.
Doesnt really make sense for someone who researched for ten whole minutes.
