I'm not one to cheer new tech for the sake of fun, entertainment, coolness or the all encompassing..."I must have it because all my friends do" (The new war cry of modern society) but this just seems like something that helps instead of hinders and for me, that's what tech Research and Development should be about.

If you watch the vid you will see a few examples of practical use situations such as pushing heavy loads, helping the aged move along easier and most of all, it fits in your laptop bag.

So many disasters keep threatening to wipe Japan from the face of the Earth but they are just like the Energizer Bunny...They keep going...and going...and going...

Yep, I see the benefits, but I also see tech that is just gonna make lazy people even fatter.
Cool invention, but I see it contributing to obesity.

S&F!

What's the power source?

Well, it's probably an electric battery - in which case I'd ask, how long does it last between each charges?

Well, since it's been discussed, delete away.

I don't use the search anymore because it just doesn't work half the time anyways.

If I had one of these I'd still walk, I would turn the thing into a bag carrier instead. Or a Dalek.

I would put my 2 legged dog named 2fer on it and race him.

Eyes of the beholder my friend.

The duplicate police force is strong in this one.

Dalek yep, but bag carrier not so much, still using less energy than you normally would.
It's the way of the world, and why folk are getting fatter.
Wouldn't help me though, 300 steep stone steps from my house to civilisation and shops, or mile and a half meandering road. I take the steps every time. I like to stay fit.

My 2 legged dog is only about 65 kilos so he's good.

I just like the easier up-the hill pushing boxes implications.

And my 2 legged dog, 2fer of course.

True, I see its uses definitely.
...and aw, 2fer, bless, got any pics? That sounds like a loving relationship.

True, but not everyone are "lazy fat people".

I over-work my muscles quite often because of my job, and I am under-weight as a result. I need every grams of fat I can grab. I wouldn't mind if something was to carry my stuff while I repair myself....

When I saw the title I thought of the Flintstones car for some reason. This is still cool though. It's like a motorized skateboard that stops automatically when you get off. Thanks for posting.

Just eat more.
Same for me, I work a physical job every day, I adapt my energy intake to my energy consumption.
It ain't a difficult concept really

"Just eat more".

Thanks, I haven't thought of that. (/sarcasm)

Why the sarcasm, just eat more, it ain't rocket science.
When I worked in management I ate less, now I'm in construction I eat more.
Are you really saying that this tech will change your world because you are unable to regulate your protein intake?
Really?

...cheaper to eat more, and healthier.

Nice find. But being so small, how short is that battery life going to be!?
