Strange Clouds in NASA Moon Crossing the Earth Images (EPIC Images)

Bloodydagger recently posted a thread in regards to the images released by NASA of the Moon crossing the Earth by the EPIC camera.

I didn't want to divert his thread, so I decided to start my own. I noticed some strange cloud arrangements/breaks in the clouds out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It looks like they are moving away from an island, but the strange part is the clearly defined edges and the rectangular shape? Maybe this is completely normal but it really stuck out to me as it was one of the first things I noticed in the pictures. I don't recall seeing absences of clouds in this fashion.





Did anyone else notice? What do you think it is guys? I think it's interesting, nonetheless.

After careful study of the image, I believe it is an absence of clouds.

I believe the OP is pointing out the SHAPE of the hole in the clouds.

I don't recall many retangular shaped holes myself.

A higher resolution image of that would be better OP, so we can zoom in and look at it in more detail.

I guess I could have worded my OP a little better... I am curious why the clouds are absent with such a "straight edge" fashion.

If you click on the link you can see the gif and also zoom in. It is a bit odd but to me it appears those are not an island but more clouds in the middle. Which islands to we think it is, Hawaii? Hawaii is too small so I don't think it is those islands. Also if you watch the gif it appears that those "islands" break up.

I see no clear resemblance to any religious symbol that I am familiar with.
However,
That doesn't mean that there couldn't be some ALIEN religious symbol there, as I am not familiar with any of them... if there are any.

Looks like a massive butterfly shot through the cloud cover and left a butterfly shaped hole.

Anyone caught a 500 mile butterfly on tape at all?

Am I the only one here that thinks something (besides the odd cloud deformation) is wrong. In that clip, the earth rotates about 1/4 turn -6 hours- and even the light wispy clouds remain throughout the rotation. Six hours to evaporate clouds and they still persist??? Wispy clouds don't last that long around here, never mind a 6000 mile journey.....

And no-one has noticed the badly-cropped Photoshop edge on the right-side of the Moon yet?

If it is shopped, it was NASA that did it.

I downloaded the MOV video from the site and using my video editing software I use to make my YouTube videos (Power Director), I zoomed into the area.

The cloud hole does not look at rectangular as I thought when zoomed in. Still very interesting to look at.

Also: pay attention to the actual clouds, you can see changes in them over time as the video progresses, especially the "whispy" ones:
