Looking good, Boymonkey! Let us know how it goes. I don't have all of the equipment at my house for it.

Would be worth seeing if you can do it with a solid, such as a crystal. Obviously try using a crystal of the same shape. That way it would be easier to transport around to wow your friends!

I'd try this but it looks like it might take some time. One thing's for sure though, it does look hella cool. I wonder if will work with just a glass cup or something.

Yes, it does work. Quite easy to make, too, I made mine in less than 30 minutes with crude tools.

For it to work though you also need a four-sided picture to fill your smartphone screen. Here's one:

And if you want an animated projection, you need a four-sided video. Here's one:

In every instances, the picture or video must be fullscreen, and you must align the pyramid with the center of the four images.

This idea comes from a company called Holho.

I made one and was going to make a vid but then I realised I needed my phone to film it.
Wondering if I can upscale somehow for my big telly.

Thought about the same thing.

In theory, as long as we keep the same angles, we can (in theory) expand the size to fit a television.

Practical obstacles which may come in the way are:

-the several dozen inches-large pyramid still has to stand on its very small tip without tipping over

-and, of course, you have to upscale the to-be-reflected picture accordingly.

But all in all it could work!

Ooh!! That looks so cool! Gotta make one right away...

Coming back to say if it worked or not.

P.S.: On their Youtube channel, you can find more videos to try out the holograms:

www.youtube.com...

There's jellyfishes, butterflies, etc!

I wonder if that would have been considered as magic...
Can the hologram be extended to a few feet in the air? I know it sounds silly, but I mean, if we could use a bigger screen but hide it, and then all you see is this big planet in the middle of the air... That would be cool! Do you think its doable?
