What don't you "get"?

Use small words, cause, apparently I'm an idiot.

Don't worry, I'll reciprocate.

Never mind. I'm done here for now.

Talk to you later.

Dear readers:

Please feel free to leave further comments and posts. Got a bit derailed here - which I'm sure is my bad.

I want to know how people actually feel about the success Sanders has enjoyed over the last few weeks. I think he truly, really DOES mean what he's saying. I expect he's got his ducks in a row (even if behind the scenes for now) to carry out his agenda.

I also believe that we, the people, are ready for it.

Obama is not *really* "from" Chicago.

He was brought in by what we call the Downtown Crowd.

He adapted well but there's always something missing.

Only people "from" Chicago know what I mean.

Michelle on the other hand, *IS* from Chicago, as well as Valerie Jarret, Rahm Emanuel, Bill Ayers, Bill Daley, and some other people close to Obama and who have "served" in his Administration.

I was born in "Chicago", thanks. Waukegan.
My paternal Grandparents raised my dad there.

Anyway - I tripped and hit 'reply'. Sorry, folks.

I'm totally humiliated and feel completely stupid.

Have a great evening, everyone.

What? Waukegan is an hour north of The Loop, friend.
It is part of the metro. No disputing that.

Thank you for posting this, S&F.

I think Bernie Sanders is just what this country needs. I will volunteer in my local area to work for his campaign.

I can only explain it to you.

If you can't understand, then that's not on me.

Well....yeah.
It kind of is.

If I fail to grasp your real meaning even after several "attempts" to explain it, then it is absolutely on you to rephrase, choose different vocabulary, offer analogies (if the listener is able to understand them), change your tone, or whatever.

As it stands, you can leave the blame with me, though. Not surprised.

Still, one day, I will look forward to knowing what you REALLY think - because right now you sound like a non-trustworthy politican. Might take me 8 more years, but, .......

wth

I am pretty sure what he is saying is this.

Democrats who get into power in a way that can effect the nation as a whole are bought and paid for by big banks, wall street etc.

Republicans who get into power in a way that can effect the nation as a whole are bought and paid for by big banks, wall street etc.

In short, meet the new boss same as the old boss.
There is a real agenda by both parties to serve themselves first and the population second, how they go about doing so differs in color shade only.
For example "would you like the red ford focus or the blue ford focus?" either way "ford gets paid".
Who is ford?
Ford is The Big Banks Wall Street etc.
What is the Ford Focus?
The politicians who get past the primary's.

Republicans who get into power
or...
Democrats who get into power
or...
some third party politician who gets into power.

But I read some comments about his 2nd Amendment twisting.

He wants to ban certain types of assault rifles. That's all.
Why any American non-military citizen would need an assault rifle is beyond me.

To protect ourselves from people who think they know what is best for me.

To protect ourselves from people who think their ideas are so awesome they must be mandatory.

People like Bernie Sanders.

When politicians start talking banning things I refuse to listen to them.

Banning things never solved any problems. Sanders thinks the Second Amendment is about hunting. He's another anti-gun leftist d-bag out to gut the constitution so he can create his socialist utopia.

It's BULL****!

I'm a single issue voter. My issue is the Constitution. Politicians who wanna violate the bill of rights are not valid. Right and left wing dbags have been gutting the constitution, with HUGE trespasses, especially the 2nd, 4th, 8th, 9th, and 10th amendments. This has got to stop. If Bernie Sanders' entire platform is based on violating Constitutionally protected RIGHTS, then he can kiss my ass.

I don't know anything about the guy, I have just heard his name floating around. But yea if he wants to ban any kind of firearm then I would have some pretty big issues with that.

I think sometimes people forget that once something is taken away from the population the odds of getting it back is virtually nill.

Lets say for example Sanders is a fantastic guy, he is right on the money about every single policy.
Sounds great right?
However he wants to ban all guns. (Not saying he does but for sake of discussion to illustrate a point.)
Guy serves his 2 terms and leaves office the most loved President ever.
Fantastic right?

So fast forward say 20 years along comes this other politician, you hate him... he is like Hitler and Mao on steroids!
Guy starts abusing the people, killing homosexuals or Christians or (insert your pet group here)

This guy has to go!

But he ain't going anywhere.

Why?

Cause you gave your away ability to get rid of him to that nice Sanders guy 2 decades ago.

I think often times people don't realize that when they take away peoples rights for the guy they do like, they don't get them back when they got to deal with the guy they don't like.

This is exactly right.

The second amendment is for the preservation of liberty.

That Hitler guy may never come. But if the teeth of liberty are ever removed from the equation..Lord only knows what would happen decades down the line to a disarmed population.

It's really too bad that you are that jaded.

But, I understand.

I don't care if it's only PART of his platform.

Any attempts at removing the rights of Americans is criminal.

So, okay. You need an 'assault rifle'.....

would you like cannon and some machine guns and a tank as well?

I don't own an "assault rifle". I own a semi-automatic version of an AK47. And yes I do need it.
Specifically for people who think their awesome ideas need to be mandatory and enforced at the barrel of a gun.

would you like cannon and some machine guns and a tank as well?

Do me the courtesy of not insulting my intelligence with obviously asinine comparisons.

Okay. I'll do you that courtesy.

Now - since Bernie never said you can't have ANY weapons, then - what else do you have to object to????

You said that was your only criterion.
We've established that he is only talking about banning CERTAIN TYPES of "assault weapons."

What are your other objections? I mean - just dismissing him out of hand without knowing ANY of his other points is rather, well -

nm.
Any other objections??
