Oh, I don't doubt you. I am pretty sure it will be a Clinton/bush election. I'm just saying, that's not what real people want, so don't blame real people for that outcome, the fix is no doubt already in.

I have never cared for Trump, but given the candidates, I really like his outspoken attitude....for now, we've got what, 15 months to change our minds.

I'm voting for Bernie in the primaries to piss off any Hillary voters.

For the general election?

I might just skip it for something less painful. Like chew broken glass with a lemon juice chaser.

Yay Bernie. . .

but. . .

If this turns into another cult of personality (Obama) then I'll bid good-bye.

After 7, 8 years of hearing how Obama was going to change the world and solve all our problems. . . . if I start hearing how Bernie is going to be the answer to all our prayers, then good-bye.

I can't do another year of "hope and change".

I thought the same thing actually. The difference in my opinion, between Bernie and Obama's campaign is the change Obama was talking about really never happened; also, his background in the Senate really offered no support on how he would propose to do this.

Sanders on the other hand has a long history of proposed legislation that fits right in with his ideals he speaks about readily, ideas that the average person can relate too an understand.

This alone, in my opinion, gives his integrity a boost. Although the political change and rhetoric may bring back memories about Obama, of hope and change; if there is a presidential contender who can stand on his record and backup his words, it's Bernie.

You're not the first person to tell me that Bernie and Obama are different "so this time, it's really gonna be good, honest!"

And far be it for me to say anything to the contrary. This early in the election season, I've already been called more names than a dentist on safari.

I'm going to continue laughing and sit back and enjoy the game is all.

You do realize he wants to tax the wealthy right?
We know how much you hate that, and you hate rich folks having to contribute to society and poor people getting their grubby paws on the elite's money?

You sure you're ok with this Beez?

Oh I'm just jim-dandy with the wealth redistribution!

Again, I just want to have an opportunity to laugh at everyone for the next 4 years.

Hopey-Changey!

What Hillary voters? They've all bailed in favor of Bernie. Not that it makes any difference.

Personally I wouldn't own one because they are basically useless for hunting.

Exactly.

My husband is a veteran National Guard MP (Military Police). He taught me how to shoot (airsoft/pellets/real), and has taught me self-defense stuff.

But before that, BEFORE THAT, he grew up in the country and DID hunt squirrels and rabbits and deer, FOR FOOD.

Anyway - we're off-topic. I am not a gun-grabber. But no one needs "assault rifles" who is no longer in the military. There are no "assault rifles" in this house. There are rifles, carbines, revolvers, semiautomatic pistols....

I don't worry for my safety. Why on EARTH would we need a machine gun/assault rifle????

Oh, I'm a registered democrat.
Truth.
And I will vote for Bernie in the primaries.
Truth.

But it is a game. It's taken me years to realise that it is all a game.

I'll still play, mind you. It's a fun game in a sick sort of way.

Major diff, though, this time. Senator Sanders has been on Capitol Hill for DECADES, and Vermont (his home state) is doing great. He has a proven voting record that encompasses EVERYTHING he is bringing up now.

He's not some freshman "Community Organizer" from south Chicago.

He's the REAL DEAL.

Maybe TPTB put Obama out there 8 years ago just to test the waters. Lord knows they've tried Mitt Romney (and now we have an extremer version of him in "The Donald"). Maybe they were all just 'trial run' pawns in a rehearsal. But now, with someone who actually has walked the WALK, for as long as he's talked the talk (and already has a 'legacy' for his Congressional record)......

Maybe now we're actually ready?!!!!
You think??

We shall see. Sorry for speaking for you earlier. I still don't get you two.

You didn't see my other post apparently.

America is an abused woman sticking up for her drunken husband. "Thiis time it'll be different!" "This time he won't beat me!" Then after the election, he starts drinking again, and starts beating, slapping, hitting again.

Of course it's just for our "own good". It's for "our safety and security" that he keeps beating us.

And we take it and say "thank you".

Nope, puddin', registered last month as a Big "D".

I'm in an uber liberal-progressive state.

Thought I could cause more trouble as a registered democrat that way.
