I am fed up and disgusted

Obama gets bashed because he deserves it. Plain and simple. He is the biggest mistake this nation ever made and he proves it every day.

For six years we have heard Obama toss the word "inherited" around. We have listened to him demonize Bush for going to war, bankrupting the country, destroying civil liberty, and so on. Democrats are quick to complain about Bush and his horrible legacy. But they don't stick to the facts. Lets extend the 'inherited' game and see what happens.

Clinton inherited the biggest budget surplus this nation ever had. And he inherited it from Reagan and Bush Sr. By the time Clinton left office he was making massive cuts in spending just to try to stay out of debt. The huge budget surplus he inherited was gone and the economy was nose diving faster than any other in recent history.

GW inherited a tanking economy. He had almost no time to try to turn the economy around when 9/11 happened. That was a huge blow to the economy. I remember what happened to my 401k. It wasn't pretty. Its hard to say his policies were to blame. We will never know what his policies would have achieved had it not been for the tragic events in September, 2001. What we do know is that the last two years of GW's administration the democrats had both the house and the senate, for a while by super majority. Yes, you read that correctly. Super majority. That means that during that entire time GW was powerless. Not one bill was passed that was not passed by the democrats. Not one bill was blocked that was not blocked by the democrats. Nothing happened that was not done by the democrats. They had power to do what they wanted and overturn any veto GW would have thrown at them. And guess what? The economy still tanked. For the last two years of the GW administration the democrats called the shots. If you want to blame someone, blame the democrats. They were the ones who could have done something - and they failed. Bush was powerless, and as such cannot be blamed.

Then along comes Obama who says he will have the most transparent administration ever. And his first major act is obamacare, which legislators were not allowed to read until after they signed it. Transparent. Uh huh. Obama vilified GW for using executive order to get things done when the democrats stalled congress. Then Obama enacted more executive orders in one year than GW did his entire time in office. The list of things Obama has done wrong is enormous. That doesn't mean I think Bush or Reagan was perfect. They weren't. But it does mean that Obama is a disaster of a president. Its not because he is black. Its because he has been the worst president we have ever had.

I still remember when he was campaigning for the senate here in Chicago. At a debate with Keyes, his opponent for the senate seat, when Keyes mentioned that Obama was not born in the US Obama replied, "So what, I am running for Illinois Senator, not the presidency". That is one very strange response if he was indeed a US citizen. You may be able to remove the information from the web but you cant erase peoples memories.

This community organizer, a failed social experiment at best, does not deserve our respect. He deserves a 10 x 10 cell.

Not true. The government suffered budget deficits from 1970 to 1997. Would bush sr. Have lost with the nations largest budget surpluses?

Chief, I am guessing you were USN so I give respect for that however, I was in the Navy also so we are even.

That being said, If some of the things that bother you about the Obama claims were refuted in a manner that would put the situation to rest, then there would be no discussion. The problem is with this "most transparent administration" is that the more people ask, the more they hide the information. You can complain about the speculation however, a simple factual response would be all theta is required to solve the situation; that is if there was nothing to hide….

I hope all of this reassures you that Obama is definitely NOT being treated worse than Bush.

I personally think the reason Obama (seemingly) gets a much harder time than Bush ever did is because of the blind patriotism mentality that was so common after 911, which Bush milked for everything it was worth. Most people just seem to be over the whole 'American superiority complex' these days, so its now far more socially acceptable to even suggest America isn't the definition of perfection, unlike back when Bush was in power.

I can remember being accused of being everything from anti-American to a full on terrorist, simply for daring to speak up against Bush's foreign policy and the Iraq war, and that was just by other Australians, lol. I probably would've been crucified if I was in the US in 2005 speaking honestly about what I thought of the Iraq invasion.

Disapproving of the President simply because he's black is racist, approving of the the President simply because he's black is dangerous.
