It was the concerted harassment that I found particularly disturbing. They even tired to harass the reviewers of the documentary.

If you don't like Scientology, does that make you Xenuphobic?

Well, that is the part I questioned, what do they get out of membership?

Other than 25% off VHS copies of Days of Thunder and Cocktail.

Are you trying to say that if they drink enough they hear thunder for days? Xenu?

Not sure. I guess I was saying that a real Mission Impossible would be Tom Cruise admitting Scientology is bulls***.

I kept hearing about this organization on the news that regularly exploited its low level workers and I was thinking, 'Damn you, Wal-Mart, can't you just act human?'.

Turns out they were talking about Scientology.

I know right.

I heard of a group of beings out to destroy human freedoms, undermine their free will, and take over the galaxy.

I instantly thought cyclons out of battlestar galactica.

Turns out, it was Scientology.

What I do not understand is why this documentary did not win any type of award. It is pretty amazing when you can make a film that is more damaging to John Travolta's career than Battlefield Earth.

I still reckon the reason Katie Holms left Tom was because he was gay.

I mean, EVERYONE knows he's been in a few good men.

Just wondering if the Original Poster is still around and what he thought about the negative feedback from the Church of Scientology regarding the documentary.

At least it got exposed for what it really is. A money-grabbing, brain-washing cult.

Were you able to stream any of the documentary? It really was an eye opener.

Not yet. I've seen some clips and it's pretty damning.

I'll hook up my laptop to the TV tomorrow and proxy my way onto pbs lol.

I just googled it.

Why would a "peaceful religion" need a private naval force? Doesn't sound peaceful to me.

Research purposes. The fleet wasn't militarized.
