Right now there are superheroes ascendant on this planet.

At this moment there are legends in the making.

Consider Ranulph Fiennes, a seventy-year old explorer whose CV reads like something out of a fantasy novel. In one life he journeyed around the world on its polar axis, crossed Antarctica unsupported, climbed the Eiger, became the oldest British person to summit Everest, and led expeditions up the Nile on hovercraft.

After suffering severe frostbite on one expedition, he also had the stones to amputate his own fingers because he was in too much pain and the doctors insisted on waiting longer.

Or consider Ueli Steck, a Swiss mountaineer known best for his speed ascents on huge difficult peaks. Mountains that normally take several days to climb, he solos in mere hours.

Check out his speed ascent of the Eiger here. I won't give spoiler alerts on how fast he climbed it, but you'll poo yourself when it shows the time.

Or consider Alex Honnold, a free soloist who climbs incredibly dangerous routes without any safety gear (and usually without equipment). Here you can see him tackling El Sendero Luminoso, possibly the most difficult ropeless climb in known history.

Legends like these don't arise from nothing.

Lives like these aren't given at random.

The universe won't waste it's energy offering a life with Ranulph Fiennes potential to someone that'll just waste it sitting on the couch watching television.

It won't offer Ueli Steck opportunities to someone who won't do everything possible to master that existence.

How do these spirits attain such remarkable opportunities?

It isn't by chance alone.

It happened because they proved their worth.

If you ever want live one of these remarkable vantages on reality, the time to start preparing for that adventure is now.

Today, this very instant, start training towards accomplishing similarly impressive feats. Start planning, start training, start striving towards making your dreams come true.

Today, right now, start planning on how best to prove your worth.

Start with little things and builds up to the sublime. Commence with basic tasks and advance to the superhuman.

We all have little adventures we want to live. We all have daring escapades sitting on our bucket list.

So get out there and do it. Jump out that plane, climb that mountain, visit that exotic locale.

Set out towards completing that list today. Start living the existence you truly desire.

Anyone can do it. It takes nothing but the stolid will to make your dreams a reality.

Show the universe that you're a superhero in the making.

Show reality that you're a legend in disguise.

Then, maybe--next time around--existence will recognize your worth, and offer you that epic life you deserve.

Oh you mean like enhanced reflexes, martial arts training, self healing, the ability to handle a vehicle like it's a part of your own self.

The list goes on but my point is this, even with all these skills I'm no superhero, and the only place I can think of where those talents are nurtured is the military which I will not pursue.

Also I'm fully aware that the talents I've nurtured over the years are going to waste because I'm in debt and can't seem to get out of this hole..I'm a survivor though to the bitter end even if I go out penniless on the street.

What if We've already experienced that "Epic Life" and now just want to rest? Maybe some of Us know that when it is time to "pass" that Energy will just transfer, working it's way back from whence it came..

In words of today's Youth, mind You it gets lost on the interweb "Been there, done that and got the tee shirt" Certainly not to be confused with that "liar of a shirt' that reads "YOLO"..

Have a nice climb, enjoy Your 'trip' and Stay Hydrated My Friend,

Depends on the dream.
. Love you inspiration. Some dreams are bigger than one and you can only seed the change since blunt force do not work.

Some people seed love.

Some seed awareness.

What about suggest that we proving our worth to humanity or the planet itself rather than giving us these examples of high-minded ego trips?

Your examples, probably elites, are not your typical folk. How do you suggest we identify with them and their solo lives of adventure proving one's mettle to self? I don't get it. Do/did they all go out later and do nice work for the world?

I'm thinking that I live in a far different world than do you.

You identify with them because by emulating their indomitable spirit, you too might later earn the right to have so-called "elite" lives.

These people inspire me to do more with my life. YMMV.

It is the simplest of things that matter the most. My heroes are the type who can inspire me with their compassion, love and light.

You don't have to 'prove' anything, nobody does - to the world or divine. You are perfect/the world is perfect just as it is - you (and I) just can't see it.

Turn off the screens dude.

Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up.

Hey Trachel. Interesting OP. While I sympathize with your striving to know worth and value in living, I have to question demanding proof…..

In my humble experience, our lives here are most likely about not judging others, as all knowledge of anything, including others, seems to have been turned upside down. Discernment now seems next to impossible.

Given that assumption, and the subject of your OP, I would have to say most of us can't prove anything at all, including, but not limited to, what you're asking for….

Why would you even ask for such a thing?
Regards,
tetra

So I need to have a secret identity.
It has to be above top secret...

Might I ask what an oldster is ?

I'm guessing it refers to being in a certain age group

It's not about proving your worth. It's about learning what you are capable of, learning your limits whether physical, mental or both. Once you know those, then you know your own worth, and you don't have to prove it to anybody. They will either accept it, recognize it or they won't and they'll deny it.

But the most important thing is that YOU know and hold on to it. That's the foundation of real self-esteem. That sense of accomplishment and knowledge of self.

Worth is not measured in this way. Just because I am not willing to climb a mountain or cut my finger off doesn't make me less worthy. Makes me less crazy. I measure my worth by what I am willing to do for others anonymously without regard for compensation or thanks.

I am not talking about donations of money. I am talking about doing things for those that are less fortunate. I am talking about protecting children that are not my own. Putting myself in harms way for the sake of another. No compensation required. No thank you. No medals of valor and ceremonial BS.

I'll be happy to prove my Worth.
I'm Batman.

In all seriousness though, life is what we make of it....we should aim to make the most of it we can.

Wonderful thread.
Thank you for a well needed reminder to strive for excellence.

Got a slew of polarized responses on this one, so I'll clarify.

By prove your worth I mean go out into the world and live YOUR dreams.

It doesn't need involve climbing a mountain or cutting your finger off, and hopefully it does involve spreading love and light.

It's about birthing into reality your own conception of an idealized life, rather than sitting back waiting for life to dole itself out at its discretion.

That's what I'm on about--making things happen for yourself, living the life of your dreams, experiencing the apex reality that you choose.

I think it more or less how one feels about themselves, like someone whos on their deathbed believing they lived a good life and can pass on with that thought, while being in others thoughts.

For me personally, its the thrill of the challenge, the energy being made from the friction of blood rushing through your veins, coursing through the body is what give life meaning at times. Although I've never been much of a thrill seeker, just more or less a wanderer lost in fairy tail land of sorts.

My problem is, is that I feel like I found that children toy that any kid could want to make their Christmas feel complete, but the problem I don't know what to do with, other then toying around with out. Almost like having an Optimus Prime toy, but the problem is I don't know how to make it into a robot since the instruction guide never came with it or its in french with no pictures, but thank god it came with batteries.

So now I gotta figure out to make into a robot without breaking by bending its arm or head the wrong way, and make sure it can stand up as well.

If one gonna prove something, it should be proving it to themselves, then it should simply slide into place.
