"UFO Disguised As A Cloud"? What Do You Think?

It's definitely not CGI. Don't be fooled into thinking it is. It's just a misinterpreted fairly natural thing. A strange looking natural thing, but seriously if you start to convince yourself THIS is CGI, you put yourself on a dangerous path of never being sure about anything. If you can accept it's not CGI, is there, but is a natural-ish thing being interpreted incorrectly, you'll be stronger for it. This isn't CGI in the slightest, it's really happening there in the video, and Mr "Ent never seen no # like this before!" is really seeing something, but just because he doesn't know what it is, doesn't mean the 3 billion other people that watch his video don't..

Please accept there are some of us, that CGI, of any kind, simply cannot get past. We understand every notion that creates and justifies what CGI is. We know how to make it, we know the techniques, we know what to look for and how to tell. And I think any expert or semi-knowledgeable person would agree this video is legit in terms of "what's there is really there", it's just misinterpreted.

My mother claimed she saw something like this while she was out running an errand. Is it possible that this is some kind of natural phenomenon, or a result of pollutants of some sort? Perhaps something strange happens to part of a cloud, it "crystallizes" and then comes down in a chunk like this.

Sorry, but im calling BS. If you really are in the know with regards to CGI then you know that its easy to create things like this that look photoreal. I have been a 3d animatore for the past 25 years. I work on photoreal 3d for tv commericlals. I do it in my spare time at home.

Stuff like this CAN be done at home and IS being done at home. What are your credentials i wonder? Or do you just think very highly or your ability to discern. Either way, i assure you, you ARE wrong.

If someone were to spend that much effort to create a CGI image, I'd imagine they'd make something a bit more ironclad and interesting, not a mass of what looks to be bubbles floating through the air. Not everything is CGI.. that seems to be the new mantra. Can't figure out what something is? Then it has to be either a military black project or CGI!

Sticking with bubbles myself.. no way this is plastic or a balloon. But goes to show you how easily people wanting to debunk something, are convinced they know the answer. We have "experts" claiming it's plastic.. fabric.. and a weather balloon. Obvious.. can't be all of those.

im not sayign this is CGI. I dont know. My point, since you missed it, is that no, you cant tell anymore if something is CGI as there are some very good people, like me (screw it, im 40 and am allowed to say i good at my job) who can do this at home and quickly and make it convincing.

Personaly, i dont think its CGI.

Wrong , Hector Garcia lives in Philadelphia which is where the video was filmed .... we all make mistakes.

Something in the skies over North Philadelphia caught one man's attention over the holiday weekend and it wasn't fireworks.
Hector Garcia, of North Philadelphia, went outside for a smoke Sunday, looked in the sky, and noticed something blowing in the wind above the corner of 7th and Tioga. He captured video of a nebulous flying blob with his phone and it is attracting attention.

Are you sayng I'm wrong ? I'm not wrong gortex. I located the witness Hector Garcia
the same day he posted his video in his Facebook channel and he says he lives in
Bushwick Brooklin New York. This is a fact as I will show you. Maybe he is living
also in Philadelphia because he works in H&M and was there the day of the sighting
and Hector has not explained this issue, for me is irrelevant.

Hector Garcia gives the location of the sighting as 7th and Tioga which is in Philadelphia , he says he filmed the cloud after seeing it through his window which would indicate that he is living in Philadelphia , although he gave a different account to WTXF FOX 29 News.

Garcia told WTXF FOX 29 News that he went outside on July 5, looked up and noticed the odd object, so he caught it on his cell phone.

"As soon as I started recording, it starts to move and come down," Garcia said. "As I zoomed in on it, it starts to swerve and starts going to the side, and I'm still looking at it and I don't know what it is. I was shocked."

No mention of seeing it through his window first in that report , he claims he went outside then saw it.

Whatever this Philadelphia UFO was, it was either videotaped by Garcia over his neighborhood in the City of Brotherly Love, or it was a clever CGI or Photoshop fabrication by someone.

The more I look into this the more I'm thinking it was the latter.

Hector has not explained this issue, for me is irrelevant.

I guess that's where we differ , it's a loose end so for me it is relevant , add it to the inconsistency in the story and it could be an indication all is not well with this case , I'm not a Facebook member so maybe you could ask Mr Garcia about the mismatch , perhaps he recently moved to Philly , I don't know , but it seems he doesn't live in New York now and by his own admission it was shot (or hoaxed) in Philadelphia.

This shouldn't be about who's right or wrong here free_spirit , I'm not really interested in pissing contests with other members.

The video went viral and the people from FOX 29 visited Hector on July 6
to make an interview, I quote Hector statement:

FOX 29 changed some facts for some reason and said Hector was outside his
house when he taped the sighting, but I think because they made the interview
outside Hector´'s house they simply wanted to make a realistic recreation.
Hector has certified he taped the thing through the open window, fact.

ABC Channel 6 changed certain facts in Hector's interview trying to debunk his
sighting. I quote Hector statement:

They tried to make it seem like something else I know what I saw"

I provided the important information about the actual witness, his photo and
own testimonials of the incident. In my personal opinion I don't have any doubt
that this thing in the sky videotaped by Hector Garcia that morning was not a
UFO but a kind of foam piece like those advertisement pieces of white foam
that have been mentioned here and I agree with them. But it's important to
say that Hector Garcia never said UFO he said a strange cloud in the sky, the
rest was part of the reactions to a viral video.

I'm sorry to burst anyone's conspiracy bubble but in my humble opinion this is definitely comp work. I work in post production and just one look at how the thing moves...the keyframes are evident...the track is all wrong coz it floates against the camera...the roto feathering as it passes behind the posts...I mean, anyone whose decent with After Effects can pull this off.

in this satirical interview by FOX 29 News. Of course they tried to make an
hilarious ufo story wich is irrelevant. In this report Hector shows his house
and how he had his sighting through the open window, he describes what he
recorded and shows the neighborhood where he lives.

These are facts and yet I still think this was a piece of white foam in the sky
not CGI as some say.
