Okay I was gonna come back with something you're comment made me bloody laugh, So I'll take that burn but will add that I'm going by what I know about the holiday (which isn't alot apparently lol) but like I said, I'm a Brit and we're anything other than honest and accepting people so I will take that burn and put some of my burn cream on it.

I'm not to sure about that. I mean I've seen some documentaries about the Declaration, as someone who enjoys how the British Empire "decided" that we didn't want the colonies anymore (use that term with love of course) and they talk about the 4th of July being the celebration of the signing but again I may have heard wrong or just not listened. But if I'm wrong, like I said in another comment, I will take the burn.

I did a little reading and we're both right and both wrong, so I will accept half the burn and buy you a beer of your choice.

I was right on the date of adoption. John Adams thought people would celebrate the date of the vote on the motion for independence, which was the 2nd. It wasn't signed until August.

Australia Day is my FAVORITE holiday, the 4th is a new holiday for me now, I think its a kinda similar day celebrating your nation.
