Because you don't even know you're alive, you can't say life is one thing and not another. But at the same time, it is never what you think it is. I don't even know what I'm saying at all.



We are transcended gods who have forgotten we created the Matrix. We live through our avatars in this "reality" trying to remember our way home.

You may discount this sentence but consider: an omniscient god would soon stop creating because of boredom hence the Matrix was created.
