The Whispers

Anyone else see this show yet?

Seems sort of like X-Files meets Homeland,
I find it interesting so far.... though there's only four episodes so far.

Just wondered what others thought!

Definately intriguing. But as always i feel i will be let down by the end of the series.

Are you refering to Sense8 perhaps?

IMO, the jury is still out - but it is beautifully produced, the dialogue so-so but too much violence.

Though Sense8 sounds interesting.... I am going to check that out!

I'm still pretty into this show.

My only real issue with it though, is believing that these kids will do things that endanger others, just because some unseen entity TELLS them to.

At least in this last episode, the entity makes them promises, so there is a payoff and motive for the kids to do these things. But previously, just "winning the game" does NOT seem like enough of a motivation.

Personally, if my deaf kid could hear again, and kept that from me, sure, I'd be happy he's safe now, but he'd likely get a good smack too!

Some characters on this show do some REALLY stupid things. So much so, that I almost wished they DID bite it, and was kind of let down when they survived!

Dollars to donuts that 'Drill' is a top secret military project.

I also predict this show will have some kind of environmentalist sermon in it somewhere.

It pushes the boundaries of believability (as Gazrok mentioned about the kids), but so far I'm still watching and withholding judgement.

The short story it's based on, is about an alien invasion, but yeah, we still don't know if "Drill" is alien or a top secret experiment, etc.

My money's on alien, mostly due to the ability to heal the one kid's mom remotely.

Yeah, I agree that there is an alien agenda in the show too...

So...I guess in order to get my kids to do their chores, I just need to project voices in their head??? Wow...who would have thought.

Nope - have't seen that one - Sense8 has a 'whispers' hence the confusion.

Seems alright so far. Just hope the plot doesn't start dying. Seems new shows start off good then about 5,6 episodes in, turn to crap.
