Real estate magnate and reality TV star Donald Trump has jumped to second place among New Hampshire Republicans, trailing only former Florida governor Jeb Bush in a new Suffolk University Poll.

Bush was supported by 14%, Trump by 11% in the survey of 500 likely GOP primary voters taken Thursday through Monday. They were followed by a dozen other contenders, almost all of them with more electoral and governmental experience than Trump, scoring single digits.

Still, the limits of Trump's appeal were apparent. Asked which candidates should be included on the debate stage — a cast that Fox News says will be limited to those at the top 10 of national polls — Trump finished 11th.

"It's the politics of plurality," says David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center. "Those who like him are voting for him, and although many more dislike him, the unfavorables are split up among many other candidates so it's not hurting him."

Really Republicans really??..a guy who plans to go to war and have Mobil and Exxon take the oil, defined immigrant Mexicans as rapist??

Meanwhile, Trump pronounced Mexico the new China. “I’ll cut off all – I’ll start charging for their product coming into this country. Mexico is living off the United States. … They will pay for the wall, and the wall will go up, and Mexico will start behaving. Mexico is not our friend.”

Trump’s putting China on notice too.

If the majority of Americans are upset about rich and corporate America controlling our government and ignoring the needs of the middle class and poor, the last thing we want to do is elect a rich, pompous billionaire into the office of the presidency! It would be like the fox guarding the hen house. We already got a taste of this when we elected Bush and Cheney into office. Bush catered to the oil companies and Cheney helped get questionable government contracts for Halliburton.

Rich elected officials can't relate to the common man. It's why congress doesn't pass laws that help or represent it's constituents.

When he starts running ads (and he can toss hundreds of millions of dollars into his ad campaign) this guy will freak out the Republican Party, take them to places they'd rather not go in either the primary or have to account for in the general election, and bring issues to the forefront of Republican politics that heretofore have been kept in the basement, under the old plywood and next to the mouse droppings. Mr. Trump will certainly give them a run for his money.

I'm starting to really like Carly Fiorina. I would LOVE to see a debate between her and Hillary. That would be worth paying to see, imo.

And I'd rather have that debate between Bernie Sanders and Rand Paul thank you.

I once thought what this country desparately needed was a "no crap" businessman. I think I even voted for Perot.

But, through the years I learned politics is far more complicated. Especially today, as it is global politics.

Trump would just piss people off.

Sounds like the perfect GOP candidate to me.

Canadian elections is going to happen soon and this is a big one. It's too bad ATS doesn't cover our politics as much because it's almost just as important. Harper is the last of the Bush era and the little Bush mutt is up for another election. Depending on who becomes President and who becomes Prime minister, can really make or break potential outcomes. For the first time in 40 years Alberta elected a NDP government. And what also seems like a first timmer is the Federal NDP party may give the long running blue party a run for their money.

If Canada Elects a NDP government for the first time in history and Trump gets in? Gonna be interesting

Love him or hate him, all Donald Trump should be interested in is getting on that debate stage for the CNN and Fox debates.

Any candidate who doesn't make it to the debate should probably quit.

Once Trump gets on stage in front of a national audience, his 14 years of reality TV will make him the star of the show.

Modern day politics is all about how good you look on TV, and Donald Trump looks the best of the entire field, Republican and Democrat.

Trump is just the anti Bush vote. Pretty much it is just people who hate Bush taking a shot at him. In the same poll Trumps ranks 11th on who they would allow in the debates. That is pretty telling. The do not take him seriously so chose him to tick off Bush but, they do not want to hear from him either.

Trump is our only hope in bringing America back.
No other candidate has what it takes.
I can't think of anyone who could do a better job at restoring us to our full glory.

I will be voting for this truly courageous and highly enlightened business genius.

It doesn't matter if you're a conservative or a liberal.

Money is the most important thing on this planet, and Trump is very rich.
Therefore he must be very smart.

We will be in good hands.

We will build walls and casinos and we will prosper.

Bend over China.
Go home Mexico.

Trump will triump.

Bush is the mainstream GOP flag boy because he is moderate enough to have chance in the national election. The GOP has a group that wants a far right candidate. Trump is a big name, and so far right Bush can not even see him back there. So if you want to send a message to Bush about being to much of a lefty, you support Trump to scare him right.
