In case anyone was wondering the ruling was 8-1 with Sotomayor ruling against;

Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the sole dissenter, said a court precedent requires that "each and every property right be destroyed by governmental action" before a taking has occurred. The program, she added, "does not deprive the Hornes of all their property rights."

So in other words she is saying that it doesn't constitute theft because the Gov. was only stealing part of the total raisins??? That's a pretty stupid argument. Someone should steal half of everything she owns and see if she still agrees that it's not theft until they steal everything she owns. Maybe then she'll understand that theft is theft regardless of how much is taken.
