Sarcasm and it's companion Irony

No you aren't - but think you are. A disparity between reality and fact - irony.

It's about, as as the OP I get to decision what the thread is about, working with these concepts, trying to figure out there useful purpose and when it's harmful.

I think that scarcasm and satire are useful for pointing out hypocracy and delusion in public figures and systems. When it devolves into attacks on individuals it is harmful for both the attacker and the victim.

I'm sorry to say that I use scarcasm towards individuals when they are (in my opinion) particularly obtuse about their own actions. It doesn't help them in any way but I do get to feel superior for a moment. It's not good for me.

I like being part of ATS.

I save sarcasm as much as possible as part of my scorpio sting.
Instead I use playful questions or gestures or stances..

How do you determine whether or not what you consider "playful" is received in that manner.

I might be the most ridiculous person I know.

I'm basically always happy.
Ok, I have a comparison.
It's like flirting, while making fun of myself, while wanting to bring out the other persons energy or point.

Doesn't work too well in print - need the tone of voice and body language to pull that off.
