How are you a victim? And please, give specifics. Not sweeping generalities that can apply to most anyone.

What was the latest microaggression you were made to endure? We're there any systems in place to protect you from it?

I am asking completely honest questions, and I would appreciate completely honest answers.
I am not trying to start an argument about these topics. So if you feel the innate need to do so, please opt instead to U2U me, and you can tear my head off in private.

Why don't you start off and tell us all how you are a victim and what microaggression you have been made to endure.

There must be some reason for this thread.

I'll bite....

I'm a victim!

I'm a victim of a system. A system that has sold it's soul to multi-national corporations, secret services while gaining unnecessarily ever wider-reaching laws and legislations designed to "guarantee my safety" while stripping me of most of my liberties.

Drug companies that would rather see me swallow nasty chemicals, some bad, some addictive, if not both.

A food industry that is turning ever more often to GMO crops, additives and other nefarious things instead of "real food"

A monetary system that is fake and based on nothing.

A voting system that is unfair and corrupt.

Well, that's a start...

I'm a victim of my own expectations.

Was that general enough?

You're only a victim if you yourself perceive yourself as a victim.

On a regular basis I find myself in situations where it could be perceived someone is attempting to victimise me through discrimination, attempted harassment, etc.

I just let it roll off me. Most of the kick people get out of that treatment is when the person they are victimising self identifies as a victim and gets all het up about it....to no avail. That's when they really get their rocks off.

Deny the victimisation and they soon turn their attentions to others especially if they have already identified other individuals as willing 'victims' psychologically.

It's like being offended. It's an internal psychological trait that the outside world can only try to influence. It can try to offend you......but if your not offended it isn't offensive

Part black.
Part American Indian.
Lesbian trapped in a man's body.
I don't feel like a victim yet.

I agree with stosh64. I don't really understand what you mean. If you gave an example of how you're a victim or maybe how some people are victims, I'd be glad to elaborate.

I am not a victim...I am a survivor...and a person ...who every day ...looks for the good in humanity.

As part white male, I am not allowed to be a victim of anything no matter how henious.

We are perpetrators of all that is evil and unjust in the world according to pc speaking idiots.

Puppy killers. Baby haters. Etc.

I'm actually just doing some research here. I couldn't readily answer either of these questions. Therefore I am asking you. This is an issue I don't necessarily relate to, but it is obviously a big issue. So I want to understand it.
I have the mindset that you can't be an unwilling victim. And you can't be intimidated by anyone you don't give power to.
That's how I was raised. And I can't put myself in any other mode.
So, I honestly want to know the dynamics of what's happening with these issues.

Edit:
Ok, yes, you can physically be an unwilling victim of a lot. And institutionally as well. That's probably not the most sound explanation, but it's who I am. I will likely fight to the death to prevent a personal assault. Just how I'm wired.

I love your name by the way. It implies either a wonderful service industry employee, or a mass-murderer. Either way, you're fantastic.

What is a big issue? Where have you read or heard about people being victims?

So, I honestly want to know the dynamics of what's happening with these issues.

What issues? Give us some context. Childhood sexual molestation? Victims of robbery? People who endure a rape? Protesters hassled by cops? Bullies? Innocent victims of the criminal justice system? Victims of circumstance? People stung by bees?

Why don't you come right out and give us an example of someone who considers themselves a victim that you disagree with? At least we'll know what you're talking about. Your question could have a zillion answers.

In your OP you said:

You've asked a VERY generalized question. If you want specifics, ask a more specific question.

Just stating facts. I'll leave the pity party for others more qualified to play victim.

Oh, boo-hoo! MoreBeer, your race, religion, age and gender are protected. You cannot be legally discriminated because of those things... So if your suggestion is that white males aren't protected, it's BS. You belong to several protected groups.

You've clearly invited everyone to YOUR pity party. "Boo-hoo! I'm a white male! I'm NOT ALLOWED to be a victim!"

It would seem that to get any empathy for injustices you have to fit the accepted list of folks allowed to complain. Otherwise you had it coming some way or another. Even though the wheel rolls around on everybody and some more than others there are those folks that like to roll that wheel. One day it will get to heavy for them and roll back over the roller.

Would you mind elaborating on that list?

It seems some of you are skirting all around what you're really trying to say, without really saying it... Why is that? What are you (and the OP perhaps) afraid to say?

You mean like trying to refuse to drink juice because your dad threw your mother down (for wanting the juice to be cold and you agreed with mom) and you don't want juice anymore, but the screaming in your face and being pushed around doesn't stop until you force the warm juice into your mouth?? I drank the juice to make my mom stop being hurt, not because I was a victim..

I can't think of any kid starving to death who wouldn't gladly trade with me.

So I didn't hold onto that. like I said in another thread all is forgiven. I am me.
