...that won't contribute to global warming

Which isn't even really real anyway - right Augustus?

Is that the name again? I thought it was Climate Change.

The climate changes, the earth gets cooler, the earth gets warmer. I do not dispute that.

And frankly, I want it to get warmer. Warmer is better than an ice age.

Oh, and divide that $600,000,000 by the 836 full time residents and tell me if that was a very productive use of the money. Not all of us private citizens are giant, parasitic leeches feeding off the dogmatic fears of the uneducated and superstitious like the Vatican.

I don't care if it's the Pope, an atheist, a Mormon, an Islamist, a Republican or Democrat who talks about climate change. I also have no problem with the green movement. I have a problem with individual people who tell ME what I need to do while they themselves do the opposite.

I'm all for a cleaner Earth, but I can't stand hypocrites.

That will never change, nor will it change the fact that there are a lot of things we should be doing better.

Is this really what you believe? I'm a little disappointed

Well, like anything - you have to start somewhere. So much for your you first argument though. Seems to me you might be willing to concede that the Vatican is serious about this - even if you can't admit they're right

Do you prefer a different kind of leech then? Up to you of course, but those that feed off the fear of the uneducated (and superstitious) come in more than one flavor

You must also believe that smoking is good for you. All the smartest folks used to say so

:-)

Why? I do not wear a hat in lodge and when I did it was a very nice fedora, not a preposterous mitre.

It's a myth based on fear

Oil companies invest and plan their projects 50 years into the future. If the big oil companies had any intention of moving away from oil, we would see more diversified funding going into their long-range strategic planning.

We aren't seeing this. Big oil has no intention of moving away from fossil fuels.

At least not in the next 50 years.

Radioactive fallout being deadly to life is a myth based on fear? OMG you CAN'T be serious? I mean, I refuse to believe someone would honestly believe that idiocy. You're trolling me right?

Yeah, I do think it is better to be warm than have a large portion of the planet ocvered with miles thich ice sheets.

Right about what? Spending $600,000,000 on soalr for the Vatican is absurd.

I do not like any leeches.

What kind of smoking?

Well, the entire Vatican is solar and wind powered...

And the pope himself moved into the Papal Apartment, so he's literally living in the barracks.

He isn't being a total hypocrite as some people are making him out to be.

Dude, it's like Boy Scouts for adults. The clothing is like a uniform, complete with merit badge sash.

There's nothing nefarious about a bunch of guys wanting to hang out and eat good food and have good discussions.
