What do you think the outrage would be if a black kid walked into a Christian church and killed 9 white people?

I think I know that answer too.

No matter what it is a horrible tragedy, 9 people are dead because one kid decided for some reason they needed to be.

Now you are speculating that I'm speculating. When does it end?
I'm just saying there could have been an ulterior motive.

I know for a fact there would not be 31 pages devoted to it, nor the media coverage. I have said repeatedly this is a horrible crime, and if you are suggesting otherwise, go back and read my posts.

There is no speculation about it, you are 100% speculating.
While saying that people are doing to much of it...

They are innocent until proven guilty, so unless you have some proof that the church wasn't peaceful, then it was.

That works the other way also, now you are getting it.

I think we could easily get 31 pages on it, especially if he had ties to NOI or black panthers.
And my god if it was a immigrant or a muslim!? Ya easy 31 pages.

The aura shootings and sandy hook got plenty of media coverage as well, so think you would be mistaken there as well.

And no I do not mean to imply you do not think this was a horrible crime.

Going with what is being reported is not speculation...

Looking at a photo and seeing emblems is not speculation.

Trusting sure, but not speculation.

I'm generally outraged when there's a mass shooting, regardless of the motive... aren't you?

So the movie theater attack didn't get a big thread or massive media coverage?

So, you know that there is no ulterior motive?
The investigation is not complete nor has he had a trial. Even if so, he would not be the first patsy that went down for an US Government agenda.

Question:

Neither Adam nor Eve were black -- does that mean "God" was / is a racist

So I suppose once the investigation is complete and the trial is over, and it's very clear his motives were racial, you'd accept this result? Of course you won't though, because it won't conclude what you'd want to believe.

This is my town. I've played the what-ifs, the why's, and the blame game as mass killings (mass KILLINGS - not mass-shootings/stabbings/bombings/murder-suicides via airplanes) have plagued our world. I really never thought it would happen here in my town. Charleston is a beautiful, friendly town, and I love living here. It has its flaws, obviously. No place is perfect. My point is - this isn't a gun control issue. This is an ongoing issue of hate and intolerance, and of mental health and potential violence. This young man couldn't possibly think that killing these 9 people would make any difference in the make-up of our country. His delusional thinking is what killed them. And my heart cries.

If you believe in a higher power, pray that the Human Race can just get over themselves. Pray that racists of all kinds realize that we all are stuck with each other, so we might as well get along. If you don't believe in a higher power, work towards making your short stint on this planet better for everyone you meet.

Yeah, I have lofty goals.
Peace

Having followed this with some interest, the following must be stated:

We can only hope that the appeals by various people for this to remain peaceful is heeded. They have the suspect, and the man is in custody right now. Rioting will not bring back the dead, nor will lynching the person before his trial. There are many questions and ultimately it will take time to get those answers. The other thing that we can ask, is that the politicians and others not use this as an excuse and politicize this tragedy.

I know, for myself, I am curious as to why this person went to the church and started firing a weapon, what was his motivation, and ultimately how clear headed was he? If what is being stated is true, it is a clear cut case of not only a hate crime, but also that is racially motivated. And the laws need to be followed fully, no violating of any rights and that the investigators are on the balls to make an air tight case.

What makes this so horrendous, is that was committed in a church. It was wrong to do and ultimately should be a shameful act in all of it.

How do you know? Where in the Bible does it say what color Adam and Eve were.

Pure speculation just like American Zombie or is it trolling....take your pick.

Yeah it mattered so much to a white kid that he walked into a church and killed nine black people. But let's leave race out of it...

Would you be so enraged if this had only been reported as a 21 year old male killed 9 members of a church?

I think I know the answer..

Yes.

Mass shootings are disgusting.

Whatever the motivation the same harsh penatlys should apply.

BUT

Motivation is still important as it can highlight a underlying risk or problem thats needs adressing
And as much as you want to pretend otherwise raceism on both sides is a real problem in the the USA

There are many, many, many people who are racist that don't kill those they are racist against.

Someone who walks into a church, hangs out with them for an hour, then kills them all ---- is not mentally well.

This is a mentally ill person. Whether from drugs or other brain impairment. If racism is part of it -- it's also distorted by the mental illness.

IMO, there should be a stricter age limit for owning a gun. If you are under 30 years old, you should be prohibited from owning any gun. I believe enacting this law could prevent at least 35% of gun crimes in the country.

Approximately a third (34%) of murder victims and almost half (49%) of the off enders were under age 25

But, if we take a literal interpretation of the biblical slant on 'creation' (as distinct from whatever loose interpretation suits one's bent, à la a paedophile priest), we can only arrive at both Adam and Eve being WHITE / fair skinned / having lower melanin levels than which are generally associated with peoples of an African derivation.

After all, for one to arbitrarily arrogate that either Adam or Eve were black, would be tantamount to believing 'the serpent' was a in fact, literally a talking snake! lol (...as distinct from the male-to-female, pre-operative transsexual temptress all clear-thinking, objective theologians today know the reptile was an allegory for.)

Oh I suppose you haven't been paying much attention to the threads attacking blacks for being racist on here have you? You've missed a good collection of threads about how blacks can be racist:

Black woman racist to white friend - 53 flags
www.abovetopsecret.com...

P Diddy proclaims black power - 53 flags, 27 pages
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Blacks rape a hispanic girl 27 flags, 18 pages
www.abovetopsecret.com...

These are afew.

But God forbid we mention racism when a white person goes shooting and killing 9 people blacks in a historically black church, with clear evidence this man was racially motivated.
