Not only does it stand out, but it seems to have some sort of platform.

Nasa JPL link

Someone posted this on fb and I'd never seen it. Looked strange enough to share!

Here's a link to more images from the same gallery:

Nice, I'm going to see if I can find my old SD card, I've seen this exact shape in other places on Mars. I know I had screen shots of a pic with these, a pipe coming out of the ground, and a bright spot in the distance. Soon after the source was removed. but I might still have those screen caps. Keep you posted tomorrow.

Mars has the most efficient traffic cones in the solar system. Not one sign of a Sig Alert!

It's obviously a witches hat. Everyone knows that after the inquisition, all of the witches in Europe took to their brooms and headed for the red planet.

Given that it's in field of rocks, doesn't show any symmetry or regular structure, and the top is clearly a broken off piece of rock, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's a rock.

An obstacle used to prevent tanks from crossing a border. I think they were called dragons teeth iirc.

All of the witty jokes aside, I think this is really something. And I'm usually the first to say rock. Good find!

Yes it does stand out distinctly from the other rocks and appears to have a platform attached to it. A shadow can be seen under the platform. Altogether it looks like debris from a wrecked craft.

Thanks! It looks hollowed out to me, like there is a trail of dirt or sand leading inward indicating such.

Weird one for sure!

And just how many wrecked craft have you seen, to be able to make that assertion?

Christ, do you ever open your mind up to ANY OTHER POSSIBILITIES BESIDES THE TYPICALLY COMMON ONES AT ALL?
Do I really have to be on the scene of any wrecked craft to be able to tell what a wrecked craft may look like? What in the world kind of question is that?

You know your responses are becoming eerily predictable now. You may wanna switch it up sometimes.

I'm open to damn near any possibility. Possibility, however, does not preclude plausibility.
