Two Brothers from the same Father separately created Judaism and Islam

What went wrong within this metaphoric idea form. Two brothers fighting against each other to create separate dogmatic belief systems. Someone has to win? The two are dueling it out in/to this day.

Islam came into being thousands of years after Judaism.

The sibling rivalry which became tribal enmity, preceded the codification of both faiths.

(But actually, if you read the entire history, they reconciled in later years).

So when was Judaism created, I'm not so up on the play with religions, I suppose I could google it but I wont. Why should they argue about each other's religion, there will be more realestate in heaven or whatever they call their final resting place if not everyone believes in the same God. a reply to: chr0naut

I do! its crazy the timing/format; Metaphorically (these concepts have been around festering; just waiting for inception) but it is what it is. One brother created Judaism and the other brother created Islam; now they hate each other (this is true by the way).

Ishmael didn't "create" Islam. Nor did Isaac "create" Judaism.

They are the patriarchs of the lineages of tribal Islam and Judaism, respectively.

What they both get their garments in a bunch over, as I understand it, is which son was the subject of Abraham's human sacrifice.

Which, you're correct, is completely stupid--they're arguing about who gets to lay claim to a role in ancient ritual homicide.

Having said that, it isn't really that surprising, considering the compulsively violent nature of both camps...

You're right, it's not a new phenomenon. I've just clicked on more of them lately, personally. Of course I don't open every thread so I wouldn't actually know if there is an increase or not.
