Its clearly a scam. Josh Paler Lin raised over $130,000 for the man on indiegogo along with the video making Josh a youtube star. Josh most likely split it with everyone involved, including the owner of the liquor store. Since his channel is a "prank" channel, he can easily end up calling it that once the skit is exposed, and still sort of get away with it. Its very irritating people can easily just ask anyone for money through these websites nowadays.
