Legends speak of them; the earthy, winding tunnels of yesterdays,
Yet we find ourselves digging still more, nowadays . . . to live.

Why ? Do you feel it ? It's as if something is telling us to beware . . . to prepare !

For what I ask you, for what ? A sunspot ? Maybe the end is coming . . .maybe I'm running . .now.

We're all going down, down into the ground,
to live . . .and stay, until day . . .returns to the surface. Relentless, perpetual darkness comes.

A cycle . . . to make us psycho !

Such a brief history, when compared to the lifespan of a star. We are . . .who? . . .what?

Nobody will be casually walking,
we'll be running . . . . . . . . . . . to escape.

Have we not been down there before ? Below . . .the surface.
Our ancestors, entering caves and tunnels, with a single purpose . . .
To survive.
And now are generation . . .revives . . .the trek.

That reminds me of the stories from the Hopi people concerning how the went underground to escape a disaster. When the emerged again, the world had changed.

The rain lessened as the freighter made its way around the southern tip of Florida and into the Gulf of Mexico. For two days it had sailed silently off the grid, keeping its location in doubt, purposely avoiding traffic whenever possible. Registered to a company in China, it was owned by North Koreans doing business with a company in Central America. And below deck, it carried an illegal cargo that included among other things a scud missile, capable of being fired directly into the atmosphere whenever the time was right.

Three hours later the scud was on its way to an airspace over Grand Island, Nebraska.

When the electrical grid went down it created a domino effect that gathered speed like a runaway train. Most vehicles came to a stop where they were at the time. Streets, roads, highways clogged. People abandoning . . .walking . . .walking home.

Home to where the family be. Home to some form of sanity. Home to . . .safety ?

Communications went down. Hospitals went down. Banking went down. Law enforcement went down. Then food and water.

Now, we're all going down, down into the ground.
