If passed by the California Assembly (probable) and signed by the governor (assuredly), you will no longer be able to say "it's against my religion" (or anything else, for that matter) to prevent your children from being vaccinated... if you actually want them in a "public" school, that is.

Under this bill, you'll have to home school your children if you don't want them vaccinated. And we know what the government thinks of all that.

We're all being painted as "terrorists", one way or another. Anyway...

Reuters

California parents who do not vaccinate their children would have to home-school them under a bill passed Thursday by the state Senate, the latest move in a battle between public health officials and "anti-vaxxers" who fear vaccines are dangerous.

Let's stop there for a moment. Thanks, Reuters, for using derogatory verbiage that people associate with craziness (see added emphasis). Journalism at it's finest.

The bill, which eliminates the so-called personal beliefs exemption allowing parents to forego vaccinations if opposed to them for any reason, was introduced after a measles outbreak at Disneyland last year that sickened more than 100 people.

Almost sounds like a biological false flag at Disneyland, no? Hindsight is 20/20.

"The personal beliefs exemption is endangering the public," said Democratic state Senator Richard Pan, a pediatrician and co-author of the bill. The measure still allows children to attend school without vaccinations for medical reasons.

...

“The alarming increase in unvaccinated students places everyone at risk of contracting potentially fatal diseases," said state Senator Ben Allen, a Democrat from Santa Monica, whose father suffered from polio.

Translation:

We don't care what the people want, they are going to listen to us because we're the experts and we know what's in everyone's best interest--and if they don't listen to us, we'll force them to listen to us.

It's really childish, when all is said and done.

Other than bringing this to your attention (I didn't see anything posted on this bill specifically), I don't really have a whole lot more to say. The "vaccine debate" has been fleshed out so many times on ATS that the brass even made up their own official position on the matter via NLBS.

I'll simply end with this: they're gonna get ya. You can't send your kids to "public" schools without vaccinating them, and you can't home school your kids without being labeled an anti-government extremist.

They're gonna get ya. One way or another.

Who knows, though? Maybe the Assembly will kill it. The fact that it made it through the Senate so easily is disheartening enough, though. The hammer is most definitely dropping...

I don't understand the logic at use.

Vaccinating children is supposed to stop them from getting the illness.

One person with full blown measles visits Disneyland and suddenly 100 people get sick.

Surely the miracle cure vaccines should prevent this from happening.

Doesn't this really mean that the damn vaccine is useless?

And please don't tell me there were 100 un-vaccinated people at Disneyland that day. Even if they were ... so what ... their choice.

It does not make sense!

The problem, as we all know, is that you and I have no idea what is in those shots. Therefore you are left with two big questions.....

Do you trust your Government

and

Do you trust the pharmaceutical Companies

Um ... no I don't. How about you!

Hmm so this outbreak happens at Disneyland and the next thing you know the progressive scum bags are trying to save us once again.......What if it is all lies and Disney is in on it....Hmm.

Look what Disney is pushing on children today.....Watch this crap and see for yourself. I watched a video with Elmo and the surgeon general pushing vaccinations....Hmmm. Anyone with a shred of common sense can see something is a little bit off about this entire subject.

By the way the harder they push the more people wake up and start asking questions.....Progressive brainwashing is not working anymore.

I don't understand the logic at use.

It doesn't have to make sense to you. It only has to make sense to them, because they know what's good for you and what isn't--and you don't. And personal beliefs that do not include injecting yourself with virulent diseases and toxic chemicals... well, those beliefs aren't good for you.

Stupid peasant, what do you know about medicine anyway?

I think ego and spite have a lot to do with this whole thing. It doesn't matter what's really good for you or not. It only matters that they're right.

Especially when they're not.

I'm sure there are drs out there , that for some money will give anyones kid a tick in the vaccine box regardless if a vaccine is given or not.

Over and over again we can read from the news, some pharma co admits fooling around with vaccines, or New England journal of medicine writing some vaccine has all the other effects but the intended one ... And FDA indirectly admits some vaccines having direct relation to causing autism.

So, the only way I read these news, they want cheap guinea pigs, and public school is the way to go. Reminds me the times, when a small town was exposed to radioactive material by gov, to check how things pan out.

This is just plain wrong. Each & everyone has the right to decide, on case by case basis, and to ask questions on the specific vaccine to be given, such as brand name and side effects. There can be medical conditions, insurance conditions, what ever - thousands possible reasons - why one has all the valid reasons to pass.

Freedom? Civil rights? This is darn upsetting.

I think that if they do pass it, it will go all the way to the SCOTUS. Basically it is infringing on religious beliefs and they are not supposed to make any laws infringing on religion. I think there is a strong history for that in the SCOTUS. But, we all know the courts have become the flunkies of the corptocratic rule these days so it will be interesting to see if it passes what happens.

Won't it only be the non-vaxed kids who get sick anyway??? If it was all their choice to take the risk and they get sick then so be it.

I understand the idea behind this is so kids are all immunized to stuff, but if it's only those who chose not to get the shot in the first place then let them get sick, it was their choice to risk it.

I risk strep throat every year for not having my tonsils out. I know the risk and sometimes I'm fine and sometimes I'm not, but I knew that was how it was going to be so it's on me.

You may be right in that it will be challenged in court but I disagree with the idea that it's a "Religious Objection" issue.

Why is the only loophole given to Religious People??? If there is an opt out shouldn't it apply to everyone regardless of Religion??

How is there any Equal protection under the law if it's only Religious Exemptions that matter???

You do not own yourself. Society owns you, remember? The state. Owns you.

You have civic obligations that trump both the freedom to be secure in your person and to follow the dictates of your conscience.

Yah, well I'd like to see a bill of sale. Plus I don't remember ever getting any money for myself either and I sure as hell know better than to just give myself away so until I see some receipts or something I'm putting a lien on myself.

You are correct! I see your point. Historically religious exemptions have played strong in the courts. I am not sure if it is not covered under a religious exemption how that would play out. The bill is about removing the "Beliefs Exemption" which I think is based on religion.

No, you're probably correct in that.

I think such "Belief Exemptions" should extend to everyone however based on the same reasoning of "Closely held Beliefs". I don't see how the Religious part even need apply. We all have strong beliefs about things and we should also have Equal Protection Rights as well.

It's either all of us or none of us for Equal Rights to apply. "All men created equal.." and all.

According to these guys

All 50 states require vaccines to enter public school, and all 50 states allow for medical exemptions.

Every state except Mississippi and West Virginia allow for religious exemptions.

Twenty states allow for exemptions from vaccines based on personal belief (called philosophical or personal belief exemptions).

So it's available to everyone in almost half the states based on belief.

It is against HUMAN RIGHTS to force people to accept any type of medicine into their bodies they do not wish to have.

If the vaccinations are proven to be harmfull we have neutalised ALL OF OUR CHILDREN.....we CREATE A WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY in which ALL OF OUR CHILDREN COULD BE RENDERED SICK OR INFERTILE OR ONLY GOD KNOWS WHAT ELSE COULD HAPPEN TO THEM.

Under no circumstances can Humanity allow this crime to be continued.

Under no circumstances can we alow legeslation which favors big pharma and the enslavement and slaughter of human beings for money which supports causes we are not even aware exist.

Humanity has NO REASON to trust Big Pharma OR Law makers who support big pharma who are just looking for ways to create more business.....one way or another they will hook every human into paying them money of some sort.A PRICE TAG IS PUT ON EACH OF US at birth by Big Phrma an they expect to generate a specific amount of income from each of us,profit is what they are after....none of us know the long or short term effects of ANY OF THE INNOCULTIONS "they" force us to take.....this is worse than Orwellian.

In God we Trust.....not some NWO/TPTB/Anti-humanitarian plot to put all of humanities eggs in one basket.

If other countries are threatening us with bio-warfare then we need to address things differently.

Playing Russian Roulette with HUMANITYS FUTURE....is not within the scope of any living generations abilitys.

This willing dereliction in the continuance of of Humanities future welfare must be halted immediatly.

NO HUMAN BEING would allow this type of forced innoculation to happen....this IS NOT A HUMAN BEINGS focus.....this is not a human perspective...if it is being projected by humans then they are minions.

I read an article where Putin supposedly made comments that the US was being run by Tall White Non-Humans.....this fits that template perfectly.

Someone is TRYING TO LINE HUMANITYS CHILDREN AND OUR FUTURE ALL UP LIKE DUCKS IN A ROW HERE FOLKS.....do NOT LET IT CONTINUE.

This forced vaccination issue is "collective" or " hive" thinking.....why are we following "hive mentality" projected through laws which subversively abbrogate our current belief systems?????

hmmm...
So does that mean, that if you choose to home school, you will be exempt from paying taxes for the schools, that essentially the state is saying that you can no longer use?

What a crock.
Yet another freedom thrown to the wayside.

Wait they did this because of the disney outbreak? But I was reading that is was traced to a fully vaccinated person, and others that had been fully vaccinated also go it. What the heck? So they know this and did not want facts to get in the way of the control freak agenda it seems. No wonder so many are moving out of commefornia.

I am not sure they found patient zero from disney, I could not find that story just now. Now they "think" it was a person from over seas. Ya right. I think this article is another case, but they know this person was a Vaxxer.

AAAS

Before I ever let a freak shoot me in the arm against my will, they will need to shoot me in the head first. I will never understand the mindset of a voter in cali. Next they will be rounding up the amish.
