In the silence of the night, I can hear your voice,
Yet you are many miles away.
In the dead of the night I can hear you whisper,
Yet I can’t make out what you are trying to say.

As the wind comes in, I feel your hand on me,
Yet I haven’t held you in so days.
As the cold creeps in, I feel your arm around me,
Yet I still miss you in so many ways.

As the clouds come in, I feel your heart on mine,
Yet your warmth is no longer here.
As the moon goes dark, I can feel you breath,
Yet you are no longer near.

As thunder comes near, I can feel a kiss,
Yet its only for a second or two.
As lighting strikes, I still feel the kiss,
Yet all of this is not true.

As I open my eyes, I realize I’m alone,
Yet somehow I feel close to you.
As I close them again, I feel you in my heart,
Yet you are far, but in my heart you are true.

Connections don't have to be physical - we can hold people in our hearts as easily. It's when they leave our hearts that it hurts..

I liked your poem very much, and glad you shared it. It sounds 'real' - are you missing someone?
