Military/Gov are generally the cyber warfare division of the NSA or whatever agency that falls under.

T-Minus 24 minutes.

I'm not expecting much but who knows. These guys are total lunatics and anybody joining their ranks is truly ignorant and must be a lost soul

Lets just hope they havn't figured out a way to shut down the power grid,or overheat nuke reactors..
If that happens, the US would be destroyed without them firing a single shot.
A week or two after the lights go out,the US would have torn itself apart from within.

Hopefully they don't have the knowhow on how to do that.

Agreed. There seems to be a great deal of bravado on here that we're dealing with a technologically weak opponent, and most likely a correct assumption. But if they are assisted by an interested party who would like to see us squirm, say China or Russia, that's when it could get ugly.

That MAY have been a possibility if ISIS didn't literally declare war on everyone BUT them. They have no allies.

True, but I wouldn't totally discount the possibility if the common intention is to destroy the US. They apparently at least tolerate Mexico, which is a predominatetly Christian nation, if they're infiltrating from the southern border. I haven't heard of any Mexican beheadings by ISIS yet, only the drug cartels do that. What's that saying "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"?"

I'm sure it's nothing, but two big utility trucks just pulled up to the sub station across the street from me.

Just sitting there... Probaby eating lunch, but their timing made me look twice.

Ha...right in the middle of reading updates on this thread and power goes down on the entire area where my office is....needless to say, I immediately got on my phone to see if any news was coming out about it.....but alas.....nothing so it must be contained to just my area in Atlanta.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if they launched an attack from Hillary's lost server?

ISIS probably has no love for the drug cartels that may or may not be helping them. They are just a means to an end. The Mexican government certainly isn't helping them. I also doubt that the Chinese government would be dumb enough to do it too (for one, China has condemned ISIS since ISIS declared war on them) since the Chinese economy is actually VERY reliant on our economy to stay functional.

I can't say much about Russia, except that if they were implicated in helping ISIS, they would immediately become the bad guys of the world and we'd be looking at the world vs Russia (probably wwIII). I don't think Putin is that dumb.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot (I am not tech savvy) can someone answer a couple of questions?

It is my understanding that the targets shown on the Norse IPViking program are so called "Honey-pots"... bait essentially? Now, if this is public knowledge... why would hackers not realize the same thing? And how does an increase in activity on these 'honeypot' targets indicate (correlate to?) an increase of attacks on legitimate targets? Why would a hacker person bother with these bait targets in the first place?

Thanks in advance for any clarification.

If something happens, I'll hear it. Transformers are loud when they go boom.

If more trucks pull up, I'll start watching!

For those interested, here's the better Norse Map:

map.norsecorp.com...

It's a lot less resource heavy.
