I'm just posting out of curiosity of what it may has been or what ATS'ers can say about it.
This pic was posted on a social media website, saying that the sky turned green for a few seconds.
All I can say is that this probably was some very localized event due to the fact that nothing came out in the news.

Never seen that before so thanks for sharing. Bit of learning to do now! I would ask though (as it was shared on social media) is it simply a matter of coloured lenses, etc? Or did the sky genuinely go that colour?

1. Take picture of the sky.
2. Upload picture to computer.
3. Change picture's color.
4. Post to internet.

Probably that was happen here.
But, I've seen the sky turn orange before a hurricane. The last major hurricane we have here was in 1998.

The sky turned orange (like an hour or so before rain started), and a creepy silence.

Considering that happens right before the last bit of the sun sets and it doesn't turn the whole sky green I'd say no.

I've seen the green flash on a few occasions while sailing. Very neat to see, but it doesn't really apply to this story as it doesn't light up the sky, and it appears either the sun or moon is visible in the sky in the pic.

Looks like a filter that was applied to me....which is why all of the lighting, including the sun/moon are green.

I've never seen one. The photo looks like it has just been colour substituted, you can do it on Microsoft Word, dont even need graphics programs.

Yellow skies are common during storms as are dark gray and dark blue black but never ever have I seen a green sky.

My first though is that this pic was filter to have a green look. Probably to attract people to read the post.
One of the comments said that this was cause by an electromagnetic discharge. I know that the sun had a x flare type storm last week, so who knows.
Another comment said that is was a HAARP testing, follow by some end of the world comments.

Green filter, or a bit of Photoshop trickery.

Green Skies are associated with severe weather Typically a Tornado!

Though possibly I sense a bit of enhancing of the photograph to really make it green, but it is possible!

EDIT: Better examples here!

I've seen green skies during severe thunderstorms, but never when the sun was out. If you search Youtube using terms like "green sky thunderstorm" or "green sky tornado" you can find examples of this.

Like the others, with this photo, I think it was just simple digital color filtering.

Media sources tend to exaggerate their example images. I've notice them do that a lot and they tend to put it as the main image of their link/source just to bring in more views.

I believe that this is one of the example images and not the actual color.

pretty green color, but i wouldn't worry or fret.
but according to the Fixx when you see red skies at night, you should take warning.
