Some days ago a ship flagged as marshall islands was detained by Iran for failing to pay their damages to a private Iranian company . Something that is practiced on a daily basis around the world . This ship is now free after the owner company paid their due compensation .

This turned to a political event ignoring its judicial perspective . the only reason behind this was the fact that the ship belonged to a country whose security is provided by US . (SO WHAT ? )

The company who owned the ship lied for the liars that they are about the position of the boat and claimed it was in international waters .

The real position of the boat when it was brought into custody :

Now US Navy who got so excited wanted to "Escort" US and UK flagged ships through PG . funny thing is , as pointed out by an Iranian naval officer , they asked for our permission to do that . cause they have to announce their existence in the region and ask permission to enter PG from Iran .

Their operation has now ceased due to the fact that it was just a Knee-jerk and childish reaction to a judicial measure taken by Iran .

This will now be a lesson for everyone to use their brains in such incidents to avoid embarrassments like this to happen .

even on this very ATS , some members said quote " Act of war by Iran , Time to bomb" . the least they can do is being ashamed by what they said .

I think the issue here is that the ship was taken into custody on the open sea, normally it happens when in port.

What are your thoughts on this video showing its tracking? Looks like it was following the shipping lanes until it was intercepted and told to enter Iranian waters..

Real eyes
Realise
Real lies

The propaganda machine was very quick to point the finger, as usual - utter BS.........and even the US Navy were cringing at the false headlines because they knew that the Maersk Tigris was not American owned, nor flagged and had no US citizens on board.

Classic Storm-in-a-teacup.

That and deliberate anti-Iranian propaganda, as usual void of merit.

i'm just saying that when the name Iran is brought up , people think that we're all a bunch of uneducated bearded goons who live in 6th century . we desperately are looking to make trouble and cause un-stability around the world .

I like to see your perspective. When most of ATS goes to bed, and I'm bored, I look back through the thoughts of the day.

You've earned Lots of stars from me. I don't know if you're bearded ... but you've definitely figured out a way to express yourself eloquently on the boards. Just smart ... or well educated ... matters not to me.

I cannot comment on that video cause i don't have enough info on it .

Actually it's classic media getting a story out without due diligence.

It should be noted that a screenshot only tells part of a story.

An hour later, Drudge updated the story.

I won't make a comment about why you decided to leave that bit of information out..

A Pentagon spokesman said Iranian forces had boarded a Marshall Island-flagged vessel, the MV Maersk Tigris, in the Gulf. He said the boarding occurred after Iranian patrol boats fired shots across the vessel's bow and ordered it deeper into Iranian waters.
The ship had no U.S. citizens aboard, the spokesman said, contradicting Al-Arabiya's report which said there were 34 U.S. sailors on board. He said it was traveling through the Strait of Hormuz when the incident occurred.

Yes I see that it was on the BBC page. I didn't see where them or anyone but yourself says this in regards to the image though..

The real position of the boat when it was brought into custody

That's wrong. That position is where it got brought to after it was intercepted in the strait.

Iranian citizens don't really get onto the internet to express true opinions. This would be especially true when talking about news reports/political incidents. Just saying.

Simple logic question : If they wanted to point out to the place where the ship was taken ( and not the place where it was intercepted) , then why did they illustrate the shipping lanes in the picture ?

doesn't sound about right

It certainly was not deliberate to leave anything out - the truth, as we all know came out very quickly, which I established in the original ATS thread bearing the same title - you and I know the truth, this thread is about who lied.

In that same original ATS thread I also go into detail why Iran had rights under the IMO to instruct the vessel to deviate even though the vessel was in the traffic lane.

But, the clincher, as the US Navy is acutely aware of, and why they took no action except to monitor the vessel being escorted to Iranian anchorage...........is because the US Navy was fully aware that what was occurring was legal under international Maritime law.

Yeah, that must of been it......no motive whatsoever other than ratings. Simple mistake. Does a dog wag his tail because he's smarter than it? If the tail was smarter would he wag the dog?

So you're telling us that the spot marked in the picture is where Maersk Tigris was intercepted?

You're 100% sure?
