Wait for You

And I wait, wait for you,
Time passes while I do.
Minutes tick by,
I'm wondering why,
We can't just get to you and I.

I live, live, life for this,
The perfect kiss, lovers bliss.
Life goes on,
The same old song,
We'll be together before too long.

I trust, trust, you won't be late,
I believe, this is fate.
In my mind,
You're so divine,
You won't let me down this time.

I know, know, it won't be long,
The hour has come and gone,
I wait for you,
I'm such a fool,
Love can sometimes be so cruel.

I cry, cry, tears fill my eyes,
It was all a bunch of lies.
Promises spoken,
My heart has been broken,
I try not to let out all the emotion.

I drink, drink up the last of the wine,
Everything will be just fine
It won't be long,
Until this feelings gone,
And my heart will sing another's song.
