Obama could have used himself as a great example

Words. Politicians use a lot of them, and ones like Obama who like to hear themselves pontificate, say things to tickle the ears of their listeners.

Actions are what count. These urban cesspools of degenerate society will remain that way because those who run these cities are usually of the political persuasion that cannot keep power without a lower class needy society. That poverty is absolutely necessary for these politicians and their party to keep power.

They do just enough through all their "initiatives" to make it look like they want a thriving successful community, but deep down, they know if that happens, they will lose their power over them and thus lose all the government money they get to implement their social programs.

Well said. The world needs more personal responsibility. We are too fixated on the blame game instead of actually fixing problems.

Personal responsibility kinda goes out the window when those who hold the power and control over most institutions don't exercise it.

Well that's what I'm getting at. It's not just the citizenry that overplays the blame game, the ones in charge do it too. Hell, they do it more than the citizenry does it. Anything to keep your record clean...
