Audi Just Invented Fuel Made From CO₂ and Water

It could be part of an integrated energy network. When you have base load power stations and wind farms that at their lowest running speeds still create more electricity than is needed the price of electricity drops so low it could then be diverted to the plant to make blue crude.

Also if you have cheap gas, because of all the fracking it might be viable to use that gas to created electricity to power a blue crude plant.

Not exactly green but we do waste a lot of energy because at the moment we cannot store it, see pumped storage schemes is still the most economical way of storing large amounts of energy, by storing it in water.

So instead of flaring gas or dropping load, that excess energy could be used to create blue crude, stored in huge tanks this could be used to power gas turbines during peak demands or sold as fuel if the right market demands are in place.

This just in, Dresden scientist that recently found a new fuel for Audi, found murdered in their apartment. JK! No but really.....

Diesel fuel made from carbon dioxide... Do you know what would happen if/when carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere are lowered by such technology? i am not talking about the false assumption made by GCMs which have been proven wrong by orbservation, but rather on what would really happen if carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere are lowered.

Hint: carbon dioxide is vital for all plant life.

Here's another hint: when the faux diesel is burned the carbon returns to the atmosphere (in the form of CO2) from whence it came.
It's called carbon neutral for a reason. Like breathing. Like burning wood. Like burning leaves. Unlike burning fossil fuels, that carbon comes from deep underground. Burning that carbon increases CO2 levels in the atmosphere. Burning faux diesel doesn't. That's a good thing.

Burning wood, leaves, and faux diesel provide no net change. It's called the carbon cycle.
