Something I was sent recently that might be of interest to some people in this thread:

Location: Birtley (Durham) - Private house Type: Haunting Manifestation Date / Time: 2012, daytime Further Comments: While making coffee the occupant watched a grey Persian cat walk across the floor and disappear into the living room. No doors or windows were open, and the cat could not be found. The witness later found out that a cat matching the description had once lived there but had died a few years previous.

Hi, could you have some cellular damage from sun causing "floaters" in your eye? I have them, and sometimes the experience is similar- you see a shadow move out of the corner of your eye and you're like "Holy Carp!"

Remember, my friend saw exactly the same thing at the same time.

I am sure it IS the reason for some of the odd sights reported.
