doomsday 2015 or sort of

Ok, bear with me, this is a skunk thread.

I've had a bottle and a half of french red wine.

I was watching a few nature programmes, David Attenborough, wise old boy, watching and commentating on a meerkat colony. Fasinating little critters ive got to say but all the interpretation wasbbased upon observing behavior from our own perspective as humans, interpreting their behaviour based on our knowledge of similar species.

What better way to truly understand a Species than to allow and ecourage self recording.

Roswell or so we believe, or some other alien contact with earth, allow us the technology to advance in order for us to self document. Facebook, twitter, digital photo etc

Are we or could we be documenting our own lives digitally for an alien or alien species to study?

Our brains already do that. Everyone is like a security cam, recording the whole of life experience. Everything we see hear and think, even in our sleep.

If we were to study a species due for extinction, we'd try to gather as much detail about it as possible.

Yes, im sorry for the naff title, my thoughts sometimes don't get explained by me very well. my fault on that one.
I blame the french, and wine, they do make a good bottle or two.

Sorry for the weird thread but it does and has made me question if I were an alien, studying us humans, why not give us the tech to self document.

I mean, the web, think of what gets put on here, everything about us. Written and published from our perspective.

We have in the last 20 years or so as a society gone from ridiculing the possibility of aliens to accepting they will be out there, though given time added intomthe equation and distance, we may be unvisited.
