I just read this and thought it will be a reason for discussion:

www.wsj.com...

This one is in Spanish but is basically telling the same story:
www.elnuevodia.com...

Just another proof of how irresponsible some industries may get. No real research of soil and underground.

There is an ancient plate the is under the North American Plate. The edge of this plate is in the vicinity of the earthquake activity. This link about will give you some idea of what I'm talking about. Don't let yourself be fooled by idiot who are using natural phenomena to push a political agenda.

Yet you'll believe the word of an industry who's only goal is to make money with no regard for human safety. Why do you suppose these new quake areas just happen to be in areas where hydraulic fracturing is taking place?

"The release of the map comes as officials are coming to terms with the idea that wastewater disposal following oil and gas extraction is causing more earthquakes. Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, involves shooting a high-pressure mix of water, sand and chemicals deep underground to extract oil and natural gas. The resulting wastewater is often forced underground as well, but can trigger earthquakes on faults that haven’t moved in a very long time."

This was posted 2 days ago: Surge in Oklahoma Earthquakes Linked to Oil and Gas Waste Wells

As usual there are some that will deny this til the end.

The correlation between wastewater injection/fracking/drilling and local earthquakes is too strong for an aware person to ignore.

Kind of logical, isn't it?

Fracking's also depleting the watershed, isn't it?

Such a lovely idea all around.

Humans are so stupid sometimes.

Fracking is definitely one of the most wasteful, polluting things we've ever done.

So irresponsible.
