From TN Storm Chasers:

Risk:
For tomorrow Saturday 4/25/15, the SPC has placed Portions of Middle and East Tn under an Enhanced Severe Weather Risk, with the remainder of the state in a Slight risk. The SPC has also added a Significant severe weather risk area inside the Enhanced risk. This is the area we are going to have to keep a very close eye on.

The plateau already has crazy crazy weather so, it may become interesting here pretty quickly tomorrow late afternoon evening...
AND there's a game! Darn!!!!!

DFW continues to be Spared. F5 and EF5 tornadoes to are North in Oklahoma in 1999 and 2013, Wichita Falls in 1979, Waco in 1953, and Jarrell in 1997 (I will be creating a thread on this one on it's anniversary.). Now this crazy storm that just missed Dallas to the south by 20 miles last night. I fear though, that the longer we go with out being hit by the big one, the worst it will be when it does hit. More and more houses our being built, our population continues to increase, and we have multiple airports that could be in the path of the storm. Worst case scenario would be a tornado going over DFW and turning planes into projectiles.

Wow I guess if this had been a passenger train this incident would have made the breaking news on TV. I wonder if we are being dumbed down on the severe winds and hail incidents or it is a matter of finding it out for yourself because the news has enough with its 3 or 4 headlines for the day??

Strong winds knock train off trestle

I can't embed the video, sorry.

We have 8 missing here due to floods.

CORPUS CHRISTI -
Eight Corpus Christi residents are missing after their home was swept away by the flood waters in Wimberley, Texas.

These families were enjoying their Memorial Day Weekend when the flood waters took their home down river. There are reports of some 400 homes being damaged by flooding along the Blanco River, near San Marcos.

Former Nueces County Commissioner Joe McComb has confirmed his son Jonathan was seriously injured from being pushed downstream several miles. Jonathan McComb's wife and two young daughters are among the missing.

Some of our local cops have complained that they are tired of hearing "Well, we really need the rain." LOL.

Too much rain now. Needs to stop. Our rivers and lakes getting dangerously high and we still have storms coming all this week, too.

Heavy Texas rainfall again on Memorial day. Austin area getting 2 to 5 inches. Houston getting 3 to 10 inches which produces flooded freeways.

My location has had over 28 inches of rain this year, most of that since the second week of March. No more drought for now.

So far this summer pattern is starting to remind me more of the summer of 1993 than the Super Nino summer of 1998.

Anyone remember the floods of '93?

So far, every night it rains and every morning we wake up with more water in our basement. Can't figure out where it's coming in from, but we're hardly alone on our block. Our neighbors are in the same boat. Ha! I said boat.

But at this point, we keep reminding ourselves that we aren't in Texas. I really feel for you guys.

yep, yep, but wait a minute...I'm just north of Dallas....can I ask why no one mentions why we have had rain every day and a half for three months solid.....and plenty of early rains before that....for two months....
no worries, I just think I'm the only one wrangling the possibilitys....sp, I know, he he....sumthins up....they're gonna ruin all the crops.....
I could be wrong, ya know....it could be that it always rains every day and a half for all year....ok....
