Jeez, nitpicky. Of course it is not perfectly flat, but it is extremely flat compared to the usual topography where you would see a slide, have you ever been in the mountains? Have you ever seen a landslide? If you had you would realize the extraordinariness of this slide, especially the "relatively flat land", and the long duration of the slide.
