Looks like Greece may get financial relief from Russia of all places !!

Russia is considering €5 Billion up front for a natural gas deal.

This natural gas deal hinges on that new proposed pipeline going through Turkey.

No wonder Russia has a vested interest in all conflicts in the Middle East.

Iran has a proposed pipeline and so does Qatar.

Russia would love to see no pipelines from the Middle east to Europe.

Those pipelines would cut into Russia profits already in place, plus any new profits from their new pipeline through turkey.

The new pipeline would also allow some "breathing room" associated with gas going through Ukraine.

The whole thing is about G-A-S

And I'm sure there's more to this than meets the average eye.

The Greek "White Knight" Emerges: Putin To Give Athens €5 Billion For Advance Gas Pipeline Fees

With Greece teetering on the edge of insolvency and forced to raid pension and most other public funds, ahead of another month of heavy IMF repayments which has prompted even the ECB to speculate Greece should introduce a parallel "IOU" currency, a white knight has appeared out of nowhere for Greece, one who may offer $5 billion in urgently needed cash. The white knight is none other than Vladimir Putin.

As Reuters adds, during a visit to Moscow earlier this month, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras expressed interest in participating in a pipeline that would bring Russian gas to Europe via Turkey and Greece.

Under the proposed deal, Greece would receive advance funds from Russia based on expected future profits linked to the pipeline. The Greek energy minister said last week that Athens would repay Moscow after 2019, when the pipeline is expected to start operating.

Not sure that's a good economic decision for Putin considering the state of affairs. But hey what the hell maybe Greece will fight with the russki's in WW111 or that's the hope anyway.

Considering militaries consumes the lions-share of the planets Oil and Gas, I am not surprised that the major conflicts are in regions rich with Oil and Gas deposits / reserves.

In order to be recognized as a military "player", you first need fuelto run generators, machinery and equipment.

If you control the flow of oil and gas, the planet can burn for all you care - you got da gas.

Well played Putin - lets just hope Greece does not end up needing any freedom and democracy from the US as a consequence of this scenario.

Greece has some veto powers concerning sanctions against Russia.

It's one of those "wink wink" things.

But the gas pipeline will bring in big billions over time.

And this is why the rest of Europe even bothered listening to the new Greek PM about his financial demands...

.. because they knew if they didn't, Russia was going to snap up a potentially painful allie for Europe.

Putin didnt even need to invade Greece, they just bought them

Hmmmm how long until the US will "liberate" Greece the same way the US did to Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan and many other Middle East Nations?

Actually I had read that Russia was trying to help put in pipelines through both Iran and Syria. But everything got put on hold by ...guess who? ISIS. They are sitting right where the lines were supposed to run. Thats why I think that we are supporting ISIS and have been.We helped start them up. Several times we have 'cough' accidentally dropped supplies for the Kurds or Iraqis and it ended up in ISIS hands instead. Hmmm.

Found this .....

Russia denied on Saturday a German media report suggesting that it could sign a gas pipeline deal with Greece as early as Tuesday which could bring up to five billion euros into Athens' depleted state coffers.

First of all, that's as stupid as it get's! Second, Greece is a NATO ally and Greece is NOT in the middle east!

There were some other guys who tried that in the past like Hitler and Mussolini. Molon Labe!

How sleepy Finland could tear apart the euro project

In a leaked memo seen last month, it was revealed that the Finns had already drawn up contingency plans for a Greek exit from the euro.

Although ostensibly a sensible measure for any finance ministry to contemplate, the document confirmed the Finns' position as the most uncompromising of the EU’s creditor nations.

The reputation is well-deserved.

The Islamic pipeline agreement was signed right before the Syria civil war started.

Russia would lose big money if that ever gets built.

So would Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Russia's state of affairs are a lot better than you would hope

For a very simple reason, they are clever adaptive folk

Unlike dumbed down westerners
