After a bold move in Russia’s decision to arm Iran with S-300 missiles, President Putin gave a firm message to Israel, in the form of a warning, that they should avoid arming Ukraine with lethal weapons in retaliation for the action.
Putin told the state-run media on Saturday:
“It’s the Israeli leadership’s choice. It’s their right to do what they think is appropriate. If this is lethal weapons, I think it will be counterproductive. It will only lead to another round of conflicts, to a rise in the number of victims, and the outcome will be the same.”
This leads many to believe that the Israeli Government, may be considering a notion to arm Ukraine with lethal weapons, in response to Iran obtaining more advanced missiles from Russia, which could be used against the Jewish nation.
According to the West, in recent years Iran has made attempts to develop nuclear weapons, so that Israel can be “Wiped off the map“, as stated by Iran’s President at the time.
For this reason and others, Israel considers Iran a grave threat to their National security, and may use the promise of arming Ukraine, as an attempt to force Moscow into reconsidering their move to provide weapons to their enemy.
In Israel, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Defense Ministry had no response to the report. Israel has been upset by Russia’s decision last week to lift its five-year ban on the sale of the S-300 anti-missile system to Iran and to deliver those weapons by the end of 2015.
-Jerusalem Post
This takes place after the U.S. began penalizing Russia through the use of sanctions, along with a military buildup in the Baltics, for Putin’s destabilizing actions taking place in Ukraine. Since this time, we have seen escalating tensions between Russia and the West, that haven’t been seen since the great cold war that took place late last century.
The United States recently deployed several hundred troops to Ukraine, to aid in the training of the former Soviet member’s military. Canada has stated that it will send an additional 200 troops this Summer, in an attempt to support this effort.
Recently, Iran also made a statement on its state-run media, that it is deploying an armada of ships to Yemen, which the U.S. fears may be used in an attempt to break through a naval blockade that is being enforced by Saudi Arabia, to supply arms to rebels fighters in Yemen.
it helps cover up the fact that the only country being wiped off the map in the region is Palestine

*** "Wiped off the map“, as stated by Iran’s President at the time. ***
When is this lie going to stop?
Overall...
Didn't seem like a warning as such.
More advisory than anything else imo.
Obama noted that Putin had previously suspended the sale “at our request. I am frankly surprised that it held this long, given that they were not prohibited by sanctions from selling these defensive weapons.”
Obama also said he’ll sign legislation expected to pass the Senate and House giving Congress a say on a final deal. He called it a “reasonable compromise.”
The legislation would block Obama from waiving congressional sanctions against Iran for at least 30 days after any final agreement. That would give lawmakers time to weigh in.

Used against the Jewish nation?
The S-300 is a defensive weapon, not an offensive weapon.
It would only be used against 'the Jewish nation' while that Jewish nation was attacking Iran...or does the Jewish nation have the sole right to defend itself?

Lol wow, there sure are a lot of isreal bashing prorussian folks all in one place.
Too bad I had to show up to ruin all the back patting and gleeful smiles.
First most, not all of you guys are batstuff crazy.
Isreal has not once launched a preemptive strike against the imaginary nation of Palestine.
They have suffered prolonged attacks sometimes for years before they counterattack.
Don't even throw out the lame isreal attacks hospitals, or the Palestinians only attack isreal because they live in an open air prison idiocy.
The Palestinians use ambulances as troop carriers, and schools and hospitals as weapons storage depots.
So when isreal attacks these legitimate military targets.
The Palestinians can say "look the evil Zionists bombed a hospital!!!".
As far as the Palestinians being trapped in a giant open air prison.
It is of their own making.
There was once no walls, travel was quite free between the 2, and the Palestinians caused many many many tragedies inside isreal.
Bus bombings, bombing markets, just pulling out guns and spraying in crouded streets.
Since the isrealis put up the walls and began restrictions on traveling to isreal for the Palestinians, this has completely stopped.
Since the Palestinians can't cause mass casualties or other atrocities in isreal any more.
They sit back and launch rockets into isreal.
Only after many thousands have been launched, does isreal respond.
In response they bomb the sights where the rockets come from, which is usually a residential neighbor hood, with many civies.
At thus point all you Jew haters pipe in with your "isreal is evil, look at all the civies they just killed!!!" Bs.
When in fact the Palestinians are just using simple minded useful idiots that believe them firing from a civie neighbor hood doesn't make it a legitimate military target.
If this was happening to Russia, well think Chechnya.
They did that over basically nothing.
If they were under constant assault like isreal, they would have already "cleansed" the Palestinians from the land.
Just as a start, you guys want me to continue at great length?
I can and will.
In fact I argue with mist of you guts here a lot, you know I will.
In fact this thread is basically a who's who of those I disagree with regularly on ATS.
Just missing the winning cheese guy.

Obama ‘surprised’ Putin held back this long on S-300 supply to Iran

Seems to confirm reports of Israel's involvement in Ukraine earlier on.
More and more Israel is been treated like a rogue state, first America snubbing them and now Russia warning them.
