For decades, here in america we have been taught that the russians are the epitome of evil, and that they are the biggest threat to our nation that has ever existed.....yet we go to space with them on the ISS.

Why is this so? Why do we sanction russia to no end, and fight them with proxy wars if we're all buddy-buddy when it comes to going to orbit?

I would like to know the answers to those questions myself...because I don't know. Hopefully someone will come along and inform us!

America was hand in hand with Russia way before the ISS. Where do you think the rockets for the space shuttles came from?

Personally, I don't believe there was a cold war. Just a ruse to collect arms for both sides to use against those who hadn't submitted yet to meglomanic powers.

ive been starting to think that the US and Russia have been in cahoots since stalin died, and all this "conflict" is like what you said, a ruse, something to keep the masses attention away from whats really going on behind the scenes.

our biggest "enemy" may turn out to be our strongest ally in reality :p
