When I was young the movies and series episodes dealing with Courts used the term "Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you, God". A half truth, is no truth, at all. From what I understand about these "Aliens" is that they seem to feel it an insult to be asked questions. The first rule of friendships is, Truth. Who is their God they would swear to? For us to be friends we must be morally compatible, or at least willing to try.

There are quite a few areas that must be examined if a successful reunification is to take place. Yes, I feel reunification is the correct word.

It is true that with their help we could end many negative situations globally. Yes, with their help we could finally understand our deep past, and our place in it. Yes, with their help we may even be able to repopulate mars. But at what cost will the price be?? Would they become the new global "Royal" family?

Yes, I strongly suspect they have been covertly setting the stage for their return. But, at the same time, and I really don't know if they are aware of this, they are destroying a part of us that is a divine gift, to us. Forced respect, forced love, forced silence and obedience destroys our divine gift of choice. One day we can be a saint, and the next a little practical joker with a evil grin. It is a process that allows us the ability, if we choose to see it, to see what is love, and what isn't.

We are born with nothing but love in our hearts, then we become little animals if that love is not fostered in the proper manner. Oh, and something else, too much love, will destroy, just like too much fertilizer on a plant. The value of that love, if forced, is destroyed.

Someone has been putting some very interesting sayings on the net. One of them I just cant stand is "I love my XXX with all my heart. Really?? So your a slave to XXX??? for the rest of your life?? Another that absolutely floors me is "Love is never having to say your sorry". My head explodes every time I read it. LOVE IS EXACTLY THAT, say your sorry when you hurt another s feelings! Say please and thank you, say may I, say, something that reflects your inner most heart, that is, if you have one.

Since these "Aliens" prefer to conduct these "Discussions" about protocol in secrecy, they must have something to hide. And there in lies the half truths. Yes, they have some very deep secrets to hide, but, exactly who do they try to hide from? Or what???

They come from a position of intellectual superiority, or maybe not. We, intellectually speaking, compared to them, have both of our hands tied behind our back. But yet, the insignificant gnats that we are, are able to traverse the solar system, and even land on the moon. Not so insignificant if you compare the timeline from us, to them. We must, compared to the patriarchs timelines of a thousand years, compress our thoughts our ambitions our actions, into a mere 80 to 100 years.

I think it is they who fear us, more than we fear them. They fear our unpredictability, our inquisitiveness, and our ambitions. But I think the greatest fear they may possess, is the fear of being morally judged by what they view as a inferior. Something they just may never be able to come to terms with. If they are truly spirited beings then that will be no obstacle.

It is not the question as to whether we can fit into their society, but rather, them, fitting into ours.

So, I guess, we can never work together if we only have half truths being presented.

Not to be rude but what you suggest in the Op is what we have established so far. All of it.

Look where that has gotten us.

First of all several more generations will have to expire before the real ground work can be laid towards joining anything even remotely close to the the first stage of interaction including but not limited to a higher vibrational level. That is if man can last that long before killing himself and all life on earth.

Every organization you named would have to be dropped from human consciousness before this first step can be taken, all of them.

A new man, a new consciousness, will be the first step and then no disclosure will be needed, we will be living it. We are the future.

Ah, yes! Exactly as cool, logical, scientific minds would have it? No other way but by the numbers, or is there?

Well, yes, there is at least one alternative, the ETI's perspective on the whole deal. It must be considered and given considerable weight since they own the ball, right?. What would they have planned for us if with nothing else but superior minds? Let alone that they may have a continuing history with earth or may have colonies all over the galaxy that they have seeded and helped reach (for) maturity. So, exactly, what would they do?

Obviously, they would have a better system for us meeting them. After all, mind you, they are extremely benevolent in every consideration.

They would do exactly as they are doing. They would give us grounds to believe that they exist, but make it into a fairy-tale type of myth. They have done that. They would met in total secret with the leaders of the greatest power on earth at that time, anyway, and establish their authority to do about anything that they deemed so. That directive would have been world peace as could best be accomplished with rouge nations at play and harmony of major nations even if they didn't like one another.

I'll will give you a thumbnail description of what they have done and are doing:

They are in the process of causing the whole world to transform into progressive, socialistic, nations. This evolutionary process, slow in coming to pass, will create a far-left utopia by (typical Western standards) under the rule of the New World Order. Yet oddly enough, the West, and the US especially under Obama, is in the led to proclaim and vigorously works to bring about this conversion across all areas of that society, governmental and social. --Sorta puzzling isn't it? But you all know the buzz words,"diversity, anti-hate, share the wealth, equality" etc. You want aliens as neighbors and contributors to your well being? Prepare to give up a lot for a better world and change into being a higher order of human in the process.

I'd want an environment suit. Can't be too careful about alien germs until you know they're composed of DNA of an opposite chirality.

You may want to fix the typo near the end of the OP from "decease control" (death control?) to "disease control" as the first one is ...creepy... even creepier than an et virus!

Otherwise, yeah, it's been done and the variables are many... and the human-centric psychology involved is a dissertation in itself... but folks not freaked out by strangeness are a good starting place for ambassadors.

But the variables about the nature of the life encountered makes it hard to set any but the most basic standards.

Heh, we may have higher dimensional and/or energy critters here on Earth, already, and we can't seem to engage in meaningful communication with them yet ...

To me it is nothing but human hubris to suppose we will have any control what so ever when it comes to a hypothetical meeting with non human beings, whether ET or Interdimensional.

Humans can try and plan all they want but when it comes down to it we will have NO control and be at the mercy of these entities.

All human illusion of control will evaporate instantly.

You assume the only contact scenario is that of visitation.

That's probably the least likely contact scenario in reality.

We pretty much break every treaty and pact we put together. We tend to hate people who look, or think differently to us, but we spend a lot of time and money convincing everyone that this is not the case, and we really are actually very caring and loving. There are people starving to death everywhere, but all we really care about is the profits the wealthy elite can make from selling people shiny new things, and in buying big, scary weapons to kill people with.
We will probably break any and all treaties, pacts, and agreements with you (because - let's face it - you are SOOOO different from us!), and we already have all of our killing machines pointed at you.
We are all about love, however, and we try our best to keep people pretending they are intrinsically good. Yes, we're a bit selfish, but we do smile when we see puppies. So that's nice.

Ever since I watched "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" I was intrigued about how the organization (type unknown) went about how to communicate with the extraterrestrials.

I really like your post and I am intrigued that the theme in CEot3K of "communication" is important to you.

I wanted to point out that one of the advantages that the "organization" in CE0t3K had is that the Aliens contacted us first. The communication protocols that you see them developing in the film are all based on the music and light "message" sent by the extraterrestrials which is then repeated by human beings.

The "organization" then steps in with their multi-disciplinary team of specialists, which seems to be headed up by a linguist and his translator, who is also luckily a cartographer, and they then translate it in to every communication medium that they can think of.
