I am laying on the ground in Coastal Texas.
The volume level of the frogs and toads is unlike anything I have ever heard.

You should step into my shoes, I have Tinnitus and when it is quiet it sounds like a symphony of crickets and bullfrogs in my head. Seriously, when I lay in bed at night, I might as well be laying near a swamp. It can be pleasant, or very annoying.

I know what you're talking about. I've been up and down the TX and LA coastlines. Hopefully the wind is keeping the mosquitoes down.

Here in Idaho, too! They're nuts out there. Never heard frogs in April before, either.

Here where I am it's a chorus every night. I can't believe how loud they are.

Sounds like something you would hear just before a guy with a thick Russian accent in a long beige overcoat with black hat and sunglasses passes you a briefcase.

Very interesting you posted this as I was outside last night and heard croaks everywhere. Living in Nebraska I could not believe the amount of frogs croaking in the first couple weeks of April. Half the time we have snow on the ground during this time of the year. Weird to see it is happening all over.

Seriously false advertising OP!!!!

LOL

We have a swamp in the woods behind our house. I've been hearing this every night since it started warming up.

I just love it.
