I haven't heard of this guy to be honest, but i would throw him a vote.

Why?

Couple of reasons.

1. What kind of president would actually say he will crack down on marijuana?
- I don't know, But I don't care about marijuana being legalized. It will always be around, and trust me when I say. It will be legal anyways, no matter how much of a crack down he does. Statistics show, it cannot be stopped. So, I don't believe he will put much towards this...

2. What his other plans? What else is he doing? (as I said) I haven't heard of him.
- I go to the casino sometimes, and put hard earned money on slot machines. Sometimes I come out on top, Even against the odds. You can't win if you don't play. I always like to think. (and its probably not a healthy way) But. Sometimes the worst odds, can have the best pay out... Who the hell would want another clinton, or a bush anyways.

3. Paradox.
- What if he got paid to say that, and really has no intention on running for president behind the scenes. I read in 2012 that this guy said he wasn't ready for president. But three years later, now he is.... By using marijuana "crack down" as a game plan to get votes... haha they're just making it look like someone other than hillary will have a shot at the WWE Smackdown title. (president)

- Im all for marijuana, but in a suttle way. I understand that the punishment for marijuana is over the hill. But the time will come. No matter who is prez of the US OF A. Just gotta wait.

why is anybody still listening to this guy?...and why does the media give this guy a stage top perform on...he reminds me of a mob boss that is arrogant, gets pissed off if someone even questions any of his policies, and thinks he is the smartest guy in the room on everything

Dopeheads in full force on this web site. The federal government needs to step in and put and end to this legalizing weed stuff. Don't give me it's harmless bs either. At one point I was stoned from the time I woke up until I went to sleep for 4 years straight. I know first hand what this drug does.

You know, there's a great option called "don't use it". Nobody's forcing it on anyone. Also, tobacco & alcohol are actually harmful, yet they're legal. So the rationale for keeping marijuana illegal falls on its face in regards to those 2 legal drugs.

For what it's worth, I don't use any drugs, be they recreational, legal or illegal. But I do believe the laws should be just. And I think it's unjust to lock people up for years for growing a plant. Especially when our last 3 American Presidents all used illegal drugs (and Hilary was right there w/Bill, while Jeb's admitted to it too).

Well, he is still the sitting Governor of New Jersey. So even though a lot of us don't want to hear or see him, he's going to get airtime almost any time he wants it.

He'll never be president after saying this.

everyones thoughts exactly he nailed his own coffin shut

I think that's quite unlikely.

Firstly you are assuming that stoners make up a large part of the vote, which is probably not true.

Generally stoners are layabouts that don't do much of anything, in my experience with them anyway. So if I were Chris Christie I wouldn't be worrying too much just yet.

Actually that's only true for the last three. Clinton (D) 8, Bush (R) 8, Obama (D) 8. Before that Bush Sr only had 4 and Reagan had 8 before him making a 12 year run for republicans. Carter (D) only got 4 and prior to that another 12 year run for republicans between Nixon and Ford.

Yes, but Bush is the only exception to the rule and he only had a one term Presidency.

It's important to keep in mind that weed was an important herb (for a variety of reasons) in cultures all over the world for thousands of years. Fact. The ONLY reason there has been a prohibition here in the United States for the last 70-something years is because a handful of ELITE rich guys who were heavily invested in the paper industry were afraid hemp would undercut their huge investments in wood pulp for making paper. That's it. They cooked-up the whole reefer madness thing to (once again) manipulate the political system for their own personal gain. So they got the government to place cannabis in the same category as heroin and '___' saying it had no legitimate medical use. And then the NIH goes and gets a patent on cannabis for medical purposes. Talking out of both sides of their mouth as usual.

And the poster's comments were also incorrect, Nixon and Ford shared 8 years, not 12.

Because it is not exclusively filled with non-violent offenders.

Sorry to hear you are so weak minded.

Never been an issue for me, or all the other smokers I know.

I suspect you probably have a lot of other addiction issues as well.

Marijuana is not physically addictive. But weak minded people can become MENTALLY addicted. you THINK you need it all the time.

Don't blame marijuana for your shortcomings.

Good point. I didn't notice that discrepancy. I know about the Reagan/Bush thing, but I knew there were no other exceptions to the trend I had pointed out. At least not in the last century.

You're trolling aren't you? Only a troll would say something this dumb. Barring that, I sure hope you aren't a conservative with your talk of what the federal government needs to do.

How about, it's legalized because it's a cures some cancers, relieves pain, lowers incidents/prevents seizures, etc. It does a lot more than comatizes potheads like you. While the governments at it then, they should also do away with alcohol.
