Hi CC! I always feel better after cleaning up the house. Today I'm still trying to find the energy to get up and moving.

Hello Martin! Good entry in the story!

Ok, I have to turn this darned computer off if I'm going to get anything done. See you all later!

Shoo Shoo
You have much to do!
Run in the flowers, sleep in the shade
A beautiful day is where dreams are made!

I know it is silly but all I could do on short notice! LOL Enjoy your day!

You are such a sweetie! I just went outside with a sore knee. It might rain later so I didn't water any plants. I got to take the garbage out and I took a few plant clippings. One was of mint leaves I put in a heart shaped ice tray, filled with water and put in the freezer. one was a flowering plant, forget its name, and another catmint clipping. Both of these have tiny purple flowers and spread. beautiful! Trying to root these indoors to make more plants. Hot out there!

Now inside with the air conditioner on and resting the knee.

Wonderful homemade remedy for sore joints and muscles : mix goodies powder with something (I use lotion) then rub it in. Easier on the stomach than taking pills. Hope you feel better

Seeings as there are certain Factors in Ones life that can't always be controlled, even though some would like to think they can control them, I am going to take a leave of absence from My second Home, The Shed.

Someone thinks they can control every single piece of one's lives. This only pushes away, instead of bringing closer together. Yes it backfired for someone who wanted to control not only their life, but Mine as well...
It is a shame really, as now they will know what they did was a terrible mistake. Just Terrible...
That control, that mistake, will be their own undoing...

Funny how some think they are capable enough to run someone else's life, when they can't really even run their own...
Alas, Farewell Shed Family. Perhaps one day I shall return... Yours, Syx...

Deep sigh. Life is always filled with changes and challenges. I hope you don't have to stay away for too long. You will be sorely missed. You know you always have this place to return to and all your friends will be here waiting. HUGS!

Cute pic Martin! Hope your coffee helped and kicked in by now. I'll be off for lunch and shopping later so don't know when I'll be back, but I will be back.

To whoever is around, have a lovely day!

We will all be keeping you in our thoughts. Remember: You can take the heart out of the home but you can never remove the home from the heart. I hope to see you return soon!

I hope everyone is having a great day!!! The sunshine is beautiful today. I would love to be out in it but I am slaving away (as you can tell
) and getting ready to go to the dentist...URG, I HATE the desist.

Had a great day, but hot as hell! We poked around outside a garden center. I got another lavender and a cactus with a yellow top and a couple of purple pots to replant things in. Got my new eye glasses and they are cute. Did some pet store shopping and got Kai some good healthy food, the rat's treats and some stuff to treat the turtle's tank and keep it sparkling clean. I had a 3.00 coupon for taking their online survey which came in handy.

Had Kentucky fried chicken for lunch. Yum!

You have had a busy day!! But it sounds like LOTS of fun! Have I ever showed you my Zoe? This is Zoe, the Siamese and Jasmine is the tortoiseshell calico

So for Mother's Day I let my mom pick an overnight destination... So we are going to Ohio Amish County. I did some research and found an OLD historic hotel in a town about 8 miles away. It was built in 1846!!!!

Our Hotel

And mom has found a big market in the next town and already has our days planned out down to the wagon ride.

We are going June 2 & 3. I'm excited, it looks like fun!

Martin, that trip sounds awesome! Yes Pheonix, I don't get out much either. LOL! And Amish County, cool! We have an Amish farm in a neighboring State. My friend and I should start visiting their shop soon. They have all kinds of fresh veggies, baked, bottled and canned foods, quilts, homemade soaps and wooden furniture etc. You can walk through their farm and see the animals and gardens. You can also buy a cup or cone of ice cream or frozen yogurt, which we usually do. YUM!

I just love historical buildings! And it might be haunted? All the better! Well, if it's haunted in a good way that is. I love that stuff!

Greetings and salutations fellow Shedites!!

I'm currently sitting here following the developing situation out of Philadelphia with the derailment of Amtrak train 188. It's a very bad and dire situation that is going on right now. There are at least five confirmed fatalities and the number of fatalities should climb by sunrise. I did find two photos of the derailment already on a couple of Facebook groups. The first photo shows the lead locomotive after it had jumped the tracks. The second photo is of one of the cars involved in the derailment. It honestly looks like the car hit a brick wall and flipped end over end. In all the years of derailments and accidents that I've heard about or seen photos of. Whether it be a freight train or a passenger train like this. I have never seen a train car as mangled and shredded as the one in the middle of the second photo.

Said photos can be found by clicking here and here.

I stayed up late last night watching and listening to the scanner. The devastation is horrific. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and rescuers.
