Just want you people to know that you might want to check your private messages sometimes. Sometimes there is a message you have but it shows as already read even though you didn't read it yet. If anyone sends me a private message and I don't get back to them by the next day, send it again. I don't want anyone to think I'm mad or ignoring them or anything. This only happens once in a while though.

Morning Family!

I just got caught up. You people affect me in strange ways, lol.
I am now craving food...any food...somebody throw me a donut.
And pretty lights! (gotta get me some of them!)...
Missed Doc again, and fossi....*waving*

"I don't wanna grow up, I'm a toys r us kid..."

WIS, yeah I'm the one with the patience for all the stories. The rest of 'em have no empathy.

Oh geez, words are a struggle this morning so I'm going for more coffee.
Love,
jacy xoxo

"The child has grown, the dream is gone...and I have become comfortably numb."

Actually life is crap-on-a-cracker right now, but tomorrow is another day. Most of us here in Shed-land have been dealing with issues.
New members have been adding to the story though, which is fabulous! It's nice to have this small place to call "home" when the world feels cruel.

Aww, I am SO happy that things are going well for you!!

This time of year is always sucky, winter...snow...cold...grey...blech!! But as you said, the dark will turn to light...spring will arrive...(unless Nibiru arrives, hehe)

What was it my Mum used to say in her Yorkshire accent?
Oh yeah..."We will overcome."

Hey everyone!! I hope everyone is having a great day. Just plodding through Friday waiting for the quitting bell.

I plan on locking myself downstairs (with my pretty new disco lights) and tuning out the world. It is supposed to be pretty warm out this way, 54 tomorrow and 60 Sunday woohoo.

I hope that everything went well with Syx's surgery today. Hopefully CC will have a sec to update us.

Doc & Jacy - How are you guys today?

We MADE IT!!! It's FRIDAY!!!

WIS - Re: Alzheimers - I heard about an Alzheimer unit here in the UK which has recreated an old fashioned street scene in their gardens. It's full of old shops, stocked with old items from the 40's, 50's and 60's. There are old cars, old music playing, even old fashioned street lighting!
When the patients spend time there, it's like they're transported back in time, to places and things they remember clearly. They relax, they socialise, reminisce and smile!

It's such a simple idea too.

There's a transport museum in Glasgow which has also recreated a 1940's UK street scene (but indoors) , with a cobbled street, old cars, shops etc - I always thought that would be a great place to take Alzheimers sufferers too.

We're currently getting battered by the latest storm...Gertrude?
Very high winds, loads of really heavy showers.
Many roads closed, ferries cancelled etc.

I'm going to go get some take-away Indian or Chinese food and a bottle of wine (or twelve), and hunker down for the night.

Andy Murray has made it to the final of the Aussie Open Tennis in Melbourne again. Woohoo!!
(For those of you reading this in the USA or Canadia!, I should explain that the "final" is at the business end of the tournament where you win the actual title if you can win that last match.
)

Welcome Home Doc!

Let the weekend fun begin!

That Alzheimer's unit sounds decent! It probably truly does ease the minds of some who suffer the condition...
Someone had their thinking cap on, eh?!

Oh I missed everyone again. Bah!

Syx, good luck to you my winged friend! We will all be with you in spirit, but I think you already know that.

Gordi that place for the alzheimers patients sounds amazing! How wonderful for them to have such a place!

Ooooh Chinese food and some wine. I'll be right over! Enjoy your storm, it makes for great inspiration for a spooky story.

Jacy, I agree, real life is ...too real! Gotta get away from that crap once in a while. LOL!

Doc, love the dance moves! Makes me want to get up and dance. Well, I need some music first. And if my back hurts too much I just might sit and do my chair dance. LOL

Martin, love the funny dog pic! Enjoy your Spring like weather while it lasts! I haven't looked at the forecast yet. I saw around 40 degrees for today, but don't know about the next few days yet.

No kidding, huh? When a reply that I wrote earlier said "real life is too....real"...it got 6 stars! To me, that is 6 other people likely nodding and saying "Hell yeah...", so OH POOR US!!! *mega-group-squishy-hug*

Don't mind me, I'm rather pitiful right now. Just got home from the funeral visitation for the 3l-yr.-old Mum of 3, who died suddenly at work Monday night.
My eyes are all puffy, I did the "ugly cry".

I'm also having a drink! Vodka. Okay 2 drinks. So far.
I cannot promise no-drunken-posting, but I'm not drunk. I don't think.

Love, jacy xoxo

Gah, not that song again! Great, now I'm going to be listening to it all night long in my head

Yeah, too many adult things - One of which involved a bit of a scare this morning. Noticed as I was driving into work that in my peripheral vision on my right-hand side, I saw a bunch of sparkles (similar to rubbing your eyes). Well, I noticed around the same time that part of my face went numb! I thought it was a stroke, but nothing else seemed amiss.

I'm getting it checked out if it happens again. Right now, I'm just playing it safe and staying put. I'm not too worried, but that'll change if it happens again.

I used to live on the other side of these tracks when I was a wee little kid and it never shook too bad. These houses are about sixty or so feet back from the tracks so the shaking shouldn't be as bad as it could be.

In all seriousness - that is a tough one.

They were obviously needed by the angels - ASAP.

They are now looking out for others. ( in a better to help capacity ).
