I always hear glowing things about the Plaedians.

Female reptoids from Saurgasio.
They have 4 sets of breasts and 2 asses each.

The kind that eat loud obnoxious neighbors and their equally irritating loud yappy dogs.

Answering more seriously, I'd have to say the little blue guys in the monk robe looking clothing. They were always upbeat and happy, and had cool toys, and weren't ever scary, even though they looked weird.

I really love the golden light beings in the movie Cocoon, and ET was a wonderful bontanist, the Greys in Close Encounters were fascinating musicians and the Fifth Column from the original V Mini-series have always captured my heart and imagination. Then of course we could go one for ages with the Trek and Wars series, and all manner of movie exhibitions.

As long as they're nice and interesting, I'm totally down with the Alien Communities.

1 would consider favorite ALIENS, those willing to at least consider the connection that exist between ALL* CREATOR Creations. A connection being connected to the FAMILY of the CREATED...

Nordics, or humans. And like the men just fine as well. The women are actually very cool and scientific, and higher mind, consciousness. The men are more open, communicative, and they guard the women. The Hero's!

I wouldn't pick by race. Any alien that lives as "The Hero/Christ" (helpfulness/kindness/generosity) and inspires humanity to live as "The Hero/Christ" (inspiring people to give and help others, instead of promoting false hope , false prophecies, and continuous waiting and dependance on them ), would be my "favorite".
