Sheriff Orders Immediate Internal Investigation Into Arrest Seen on "Disturbing" Video

San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon ordered an immediate internal investigation Thursday into what he called "disturbing" video showing an arrest by deputies after a horse pursuit that was caught on camera by NewsChopper4.

Deputies appeared to use Tasers to stun a man and then beat him after the pursuit in San Bernardino County Thursday afternoon.

California police beat man for at least TWO MINUTES in a new disturbing video.

Further, he was then laying on the ground receiving no medical attention after being tazed multiple times and beaten for two minutes - for FORTY FIVE MINUTES.


This was caught on camera by - for once - an actual news helicopter with a reporter narrating events as they happened, as opposed to a cellphone.

The sheriff's office is "investigating" - officers should have been suspended already!

The video is somewhat visually graphic (far away shots), but not audibly graphic. Safe for work.

Im somewhat surprised they didnt beat the horse for aiding a fugitive.

Brave cops. Man was on the floor with his arms spread...surrendering when they proceeded to beat him. The first cop actually went for the sweet spot between his groins.

Disgusting.

So is this arrest some sort of joke the cops play? Like their version of "The Most Dangeorus Game"? Set an unarmed man off on foot, or with a vehicle and then see how long he can keep the chase up before you get to catch and beat/kill him?
