So this fella Andy Rehfeldt has taken it upon himself to take Metal acts such as KORN,Metallica, etc and give them all a smooth Jazz go over with FANTASTIC results!

LOVE the humor this brings out in these songs..

When I first read the OP, I thought "This is gonna suck, Metallica converted to Jazz, pfftt". But, this is great!! I really like how they didn't turn it in to some kind of 'too smooth" pap. Like a good whiskey, smooth with a bite.

The first song is the best because the original is one of the most depressing songs I've ever heard.

I actually don't like how he dubbed the artists voice over his own crappy music. A cover is better, paying homage while making the song your own..

Another awesome music thread

How about some Richard Cheese and his cheesejazz version of Rage against the machine - Killing in the name...?

Thanks!

That's the part that makes it work for me... Otherwise it would go way too soft.

"paying homage while making the song your own.. "

is exactly what I would call this..

But the song in the post above is cool too.

Gotta agree with you KnightLight..I think leaving the original vocals in these adds to the effect that he was going for..Humor..lol
I love the Bluegrass you posted as well Tinkerhaus!
Cheers!

When the guitars kicked in for korn, all I could think it was turned into a maroon 5 song

I Love Andy Rehfeldt's stuff! It's genius!

Here's a few other videos by different artists that remind me a bit of him (or at least make me smile)

How about a Tibetan Throat Singing version of the Beatles "Come Together"?

Or how about Tiny Tim/Brave Combo's amazing version of Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven?

Or for something totally different....How about musicless music video of David Bowie and Mick Jagger's Dancing in the Street?

Man GREAT stuff..Thank you!

First off the videos without music are just the best thing ever! lol They are always sooo creepy/disturbing to watch..
The Tiny Tim is BRILLIANT!
The "Multiphonic" throat singing is a talent like no other...
